Can we vote for a couple of boxers to be taken out first? Because if we vote both in then Hrgovic will go out, and Pulev will remain which is stupid.

Just doing it in order.

These two can get voted in. (If they do)

In 2 weeks, we vote on Pulev.

Hrg will probably be a favourite to jump back in.

Makhmudov to 12. Anderson remains out and can come in when Pulev gets voted out. Neither should be above Hrgovic so if we vote them both in then Hrgovic will be below them both.

No change for my own rankings. Martin isn't a particularly good win and Ortiz has that scalp fairly recently aswell and he's not in my top 15. Makhmudov didn't trump his own Takam victory so doesn't move either. Anderson would be at 16.

1. Usyk
2. Fury
3. Joshua
4. Ruiz
5. Hrgovic
6. Zhang
7. Whyte
8. Joyce
9. Sanchez
10. Parker
11. Wilder
12. Ajagba
13. Makhmudov
14. Chisora
15. Bakole

Jah did enough to Martin to put Chisora out IMO. Much as I love Del Boy, his best win in the last 5 years was an old Pulev. Time for the young lion.

no matter how badly some on here want another american heavyweight to enter top 15, it just doesn't make sense.

keep em both out. beating martin on points just isn't enough. just wait for jared's next fight.

same goes for mak, beating ranked 60ish akjepori just doesn't do the trick, yet.

Don’t think it’s about getting an American into our rankings.

Beating Martin is still better than anything Chisora or Pulev have done recently.

And it’s about getting these prospects into the rankings.

The likes of Chisora and Pulev are already semi retired.

That was my reasoning. It was an 8-2 win on my card and even though Anderson had a shaky 5th round it was still better than what I've seen from either Pulev or Del Boy in years. Anderson can only get better whilst the other two are only getting older.

Agreed.

Martin was a last-minute replacement. A guy hand-picked to build a resume after the real opponent, Kossobutskiy, had "VISA issues". The winner of that original fight was the one with a claim to the bottom of the top 15, but not this. This is just the same as when there were some hyped Dubois fans trying to vote him into the top 10 after every fight a few years back.

well, del boy beat pulev in 2022.

and we haven't seen much of any heavyweight recently. still pulev and chisora are technically still active and both their resumes are better than mak's or Jared's yet.

those guys are on their way out of the game anyways and will be out soon surely.

STILL DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT NEITHER MAK NOR JARED DID YET ENOUGH TO REPLACE THEM.

if both should beat a top 30 or even top 50 fighter in their next outing, we will have a discussion. just not yet. in my opinion at least.

Why don't we drop Pulev, as in 4 days he won't have had a fight for 12 months, and he doesn't have one announced. This seems like not only the perfect opportunity to freshen things up, but also wholly justified.

How about having a vote on who should be #15:

Dubois
Anderson
Gassiev
Mahkmudov
Ajagba
Wallin
Takam

All 7 have stayed reasonably active and have a claim.

I think Chisora beating Pulev is better than Anderson beating Martin. Annoying for our rankings but it's true.

Get these votes done first, if it means they both enter or not, then that's fine. I'm ok creating these threads.

As it stands, Jah is entering at #15.

Mak is borderline..

If Mak is also voted in, based on the averages, they can enter:

#14 - Anderson
#15 - Makhmudov

But we need more votes.
