FW has somehow managed to change the story to that it is Usyk who is the one ducking and that they tried their best to make the fight and Usyk didn't want it.

Talksport and others don't even bother picking FW up on this and let him get away with it.

Fury is the ducker and he should be stripped. That belt has been tied up long enough.

What if the unthinkable happens and Ngannou gets seriously hurt?
It will be done like PBF v Macgregor

Fury will cover up for a few rounds and wait for the UFC star to tire and then he will be saved on his feet

Sometimes it's almost like boxing isn't a sport and it's all about business......
The coward talk is childish.
Agree. Fury is no coward. He went to the US 6 times and won 5 and it really should have been all 6. Not many other Brits have done that.

Easy pay day of any millions for Fury and embarrassing build up of dossers and cowards and the usual talk. Only thing to do is not buy it and let those who want to pay 30 quid or whatever they charge

I honestly don’t think it will. The Usyk fight would have been absolutely massive. This is a joke fight which won’t capture the general attention anywhere near as much once the initial novelty has worn off.
You are wrong. The casual mass doesn't care much about the Eastern-European methodical technician. They care more about the freakshows. Mayweather vs McGregor was no less a joke.
Yeah but the masses know Usyk via the AJ fights (not to mention Fury’s constant videos about him before completely bottling it ) whereas MMA is still relatively niche in the U.K. at least. Globally you might well be correct, although Mayweather and McGregor were both massive box office stars in their own right so not sure that’s a fair comparison.
The masses maybe.

He was on ITV for the WBSS, then he won that and called out Bellew. He may not have been liked as much from the casuals, as a foreign villain. He won many over. Then came the ‘Derek’ ‘Derreekkk’ fight along with the videos.

Being a HW too, he was plastered all over Sky Sports cus he was gonna be Fury and AJ potential opponent.

The masses in America have no idea who AJ is. Or Usyk.

I doubt they know Fury or Wilder either tbh. Heavyweight boxing is nowhere near the draw it used to be.

True, but I think his legacy and character will take another hit after the Ngannou fight: once the people gullible enough to pay for it have turned in, and realised it was a total mismatch, more questions will be asked why Fury isn't fighting his main competitor.

He will be a very rich man but will also go down as one of the biggest bottle jobs in boxing history. And I think that will haunt him in retirement.

This is massive amount of cowardice on display here by a lot of people. Avoiding ones biggest rival is rum, but putting a non boxer with zero professional boxing fights in with a Heavyweight Champion is diabolical.
Do you really think it will haunt him in retirement? When travellers rip people off with shit tarmac drive jobs? Running a mock a Appleby Horse Festival? Sunday afternoon scraps in layby in York? Selling heather from the NYM for a quid a go and giving scam readings in the streets? Shop lifting from Sainsbury in Bretton, Peterborough, the worse rated shoplifting supermarket in the UK?

I'm not sure that statement is correct

Basketball is big in the US too. Darts and fishing are the biggest sports in the UK. It's fornicating ridiculous that a governing body is happy to allow a fight on sales alone. All the YouTube fighters was the start of the end of a gentleman's sport. This fight is allowing it to go viral. It's a mockery on the likes on Mohammed Ali.

Ali had 4 other fights that year as well though including Norton and Young, plus he'd already took on all comers, Fury's beat 2 champions over 7/8 years

He still did it. Pete Rademacher challenged Floyd Patterson on his pro debut, too.

I’m sure of Fury had a legit boxing match in Spring against ANYONE at least, then there would be less flack..

Now he’s not likely to fight a boxer until at least 2024.
