They should put the fighters money in an escrow account and they only get it if all their tests
comes back negative. That might focus their minds a bit better.

Re: Robert Helenius adverse VADA finding
Yep agreed but then again has anyone ever reacted well to a failed test and owned their sh1t? The difference here probably is that Benn and Hearn have tried to exploit the shambles of a board that is the BBBC, it's a mess, worst it's been but you'd have to be simple to believe that the juicings getting worse, it's just the testings getting better, it's just a shame that the aftermath of a failed test is shambolicmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 05:45conor and his team put themselves in that position by constantly giving people ammo and commenting on it themselves, on a nearly daily basis, often with disdain and arrogance (eg the apologies will be as big as the criticism) and making him to be the victim. conversely, most other ped failures go into silent mode. ffs connorr's had 2 full on media campaigns/tours now. if whyte did all this we'd see more about it.handsofstone wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 05:36 Another prick who deserved to be rendered unconscious, as ridiculous as this is getting you just hope it's the catalyst for something to happen, boards, commissions and promoters need to step up, boxers dont have a deterrent, I've no qualms with Benn getting pelters, he's behaved like a total knob but why not the same energy for everyone else? Whyte's latest failed test is a distant memory yet for 18 months I've heard about Conor every day without fail
people do get selectively outraged but benn's team handled it in a way that was bound to get massive backlash, he earned all of it

Just listening to the Larry O interview with Tris and he’s just started talking about how he got caught,
he said he was never tested prior to the one that he got caught for and even then UKAD only found a trace of one substance (EPO) when he was actually taking three at the time, EPO, testosterone and Trenbolone.

Who knows. From listening to Larry O talking who seems very knowledgeable on the subject he thinks at least 80% of the top fighters are likely taking something and if you time it right you won’t get caught.

I'm curious has any other fighter had their opponent caught with a failed test
as much as Joshua has?
Seems they always have a back up plan for his guaranteed to fail opponent

Not really, any promoter with a braincell should always have a backup opponent at the ready for their main event plus with the payday Joshua brings they won't be short on opponents coming forwardJamesPhilips wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 10:17Great point heretiny_acres wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 10:00I'm curious has any other fighter had their opponent caught with a failed test

Re: Robert Helenius adverse VADA finding
The effects of test and epo would be beneficial but Larry was a heavyweight right? I don't know much about him. But if he a heavy trend wouldn't really help. Its good for bodybuilding and could help guys at lower weights of boxing trying to make wight and hold on to muscle possibly but mainly its real tough on the lungs. You can develop something called tren cough, feels like your coughing up metal. It can't be good for an endurance sport like boxing, it affects your breathing too much. Also it's not good for your joints unlike something like deca/nandrolone. Can give you aches and pains which wouldn't be good either for a boxer.Controversial wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 10:49It what way, I guess there are side affects with them all?watsupdoc87 wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 10:00Was silly and probably had a negative effect using trenboloneControversial wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 08:30 Just listening to the Larry O interview with Tris and he’s just started talking about how he got caught,

But it's great for bodybuilding. That with test and some deca is a great

Povetkin tested positive for the Wilder fight
Re: Robert Helenius adverse VADA finding
In 2002 Fernando Vargas tested positive for PED's, Oscar De La Hoya didn't.Controversial wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 05:22But what if someone doesn’t want to take drugs? Probably because he’s 39 years old and not that good anyway. You can’t polish a turd as the saying goes. However it might make a huge difference to a genuine world class fighter in their prime.
Remind me again. Who won that fight?

No as a matter of fact I don't. The only way to ensure everyone is playing on an even playing field is if everyone is ALLOWED to take whatever supplements they want in training.
If this guy can, but this guy can't then it's not fair.
All you need is money and a shady manager, and you'll be getting away with it for years.

Of course it doesn’t guarantee you will win but that’s not really the point. It’s potentially giving an advantage you wouldn’t have if you didn’t take it so it’s cheating. Not everyone wants to take drugs.gilgamesh wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 13:19In 2002 Fernando Vargas tested positive for PED's, Oscar De La Hoya didn't.Controversial wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 05:22But what if someone doesn’t want to take drugs?
