I honestly believe UK boxing misses them. They pumped a lot of money into the sport. They put on some excellent shows, paid fighters well. In addition they managed fighters well.

I fully appreciate that there are alleged accusations against various personalities so I ask the following…

Am I wrong with what I have written above?

What are your thoughts concerning MTKs contribution to boxing?
Dunno Spud,
but there are a few ideas of where that money “that was pumped into the sport” came from.

Of course it was, and has always been, the case. Through history, dubious characters have lent their worth to boxing. It goes back over a century at least.

Now the Middle East are at it. Its all the same thing.

Sorry MTK. A few of your top boys got paid. It was all Fugazi tho. A washing machine for cash.
Some extremely valid points.

In all fairness to you Mr Spud, Donk King was a murdering fraudster, but it didn't stop me watching his promotions. MTK weren't the only shady promotional company.

Amen. I think Spud is hoping Uncle Dan will give him a few quid for his old begging bowl fundraiser.
As mentioned on another thread I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years back and my
Wife did a fundraiser fin 2022 for the cause.

I find your mocking of that incredibly sad and pathetic.

You can be pleased with yourself I am stunned you are mocking me using my fundraiser as an excuse to verbally attack me in this way.

Spud has previous. He's ruined every single forum he's been on due to his ego. It was insane how they kept making him a moderator. A truly awful forum personality and I'm putting that lightly. Simply ruined forum after forum and we are lucky he was never able to get his hands on this one.

However I do have sympathy with his condition and honestly wish him the best of luck. Forums are forums, real life is real life and Parkinsons is no joke.

He seems like an odd character, I guess he is just trying to earn a living by proclaiming to be an expert in all things boxing off the back of a handful of amateur fights.
I remember I was also organising trips to fights but had spent all the money received before he had actually bought the tickets to the fights!
I doubt Spud ever had a cult following! Often accused of being a tea boy! But was actually there! Whether he was serving the tea or not!

😜😜😜

Have got to say, I have done all sorts of sh+t jobs in the sport.

I think I have mellowed an awful lot but I remain
Totally and utterly convinced through the foums it got my name known in boxing , and It got me lots of work, and when I worked for promoters I worked damn hard culminating working full time for David Haye .

But, I have to say, working for the WBSS was a dream working on shows in

Liverpool
London
Manchester
Glasgow
Nurenburg (Germany)
Moscow (Russia)
Sochi (Russia)
Riga (Latvia) - twice
Croatia
Saudi Arabia

But alas the walls have come crashing down and it is immensely frustrating because Parkinson’s has f*cked me good and proper, its unfortunately got the better of me in that I cannot remember the last show I went to.

I have handed over the reigns to a very good friend and also my son … both of them are working on high profile shows.

I am sorry I keep mentioning what I have got up to, I dont mean to a pr*ck about it , its just that I am
Immensely proud of what I achieved in boxing.

Have a great weekend all of you whilst I decide to stir the pot on the Adam Booth thread.😜

Concerning me asking questions about MTK …

There are people who outrageously slate MTK personalities and their alledged involvement in crime yet hypocritically are relaxed about PEDs being involved in boxing.

Whether people like it or not …

MTK paid fighters well.
MTK put on a lot of shows.
MTK advised boxers well.

Its all very well taking the moral high ground in
What personalties got up to.

Yes I know I contradict myself in that I was relaxed about alleged activities yet I am dead set against peds being allowed in boxing.

Selling heroin and crack and decimating communities is fine.
As long as they give thickos like Peter McDonagh a salary and let you lay out the chairs at a boxing show.
Good ethics there.
I can see there's a reason you're derided on here.

I stand by my comment that MTK did a lot for boxing.

Why did so many boxers sign for them?

Why were so many promoters happy to work with them?

Why were sky happy to work with them?

I've explained below for you potato head:

Why did so many boxers sign for them? Because they had loads of money from running a global drug cartel and could use lots of it to launder into boxing.

Why were so many promoters happy to work with them? See above.

Why were sky happy to work with them? See above. And Sky is a corporation, unless there is legal recourse prohibiting it, they will not care.

Were they good for the sport in general , were they good for the boxers with them, did they pump money in pay boxers well and look after them in general , suppose the answer has to be yes they were good for some , was it blood money and not right morally or whatever , suppose that depends on yourself and your individual morals and thougts

I do know a few years ago , good few years actually , probably 30 years or so , here in Aust we had a promoter started up , there were quite a few shonky ones , with l;ets say likely lads backing them and generally unsavoury charachters attached to them , but thats boxing all over .

Anyway it came to my attention that this paticular one , was a gay pedo , and it was'nt a rumor i knew someone who knew him when he was into running nightclubs , the word went around , but trainers and managers were clamering over each other to get on his shows , he run a few , and paid top dollar , ( dirty dollars all laundering ). I had a few pro's and flatly refused to deal with him , , he rang me one night and asked how come i would'nt put my lads on his shows , i just told him to Fooook OFF , i don't talk or deal with pedo's . Others said i was being silly he had'nt been charged or convicted and anyway a fight is a fight a dollar is a dollar they said i was wrong .

One lad probably my best at the time left me and went with someone who did deal with him and started to earn some good dollars , still i had my principles and that was that , i just did'nt want to talk or del with this guy , only thing he would off got of me would off been a bullet ,

I was sort of proved right a couple years later when he done a runner to live in Asia , and then charged and jailed over there for little boy incidents , everyone then feigned horror and disbelieve , saying they never knew and if they did they would'nt off dealt with him , I felt vindicated that i had done the right thing .

But thing is did i after all he was quite a big promoter , payed really really well , and was actually a good matchmaker , did i rob just Rob my boxers of money and work , what would i do now if it happenned tomoro , be it a drug cartel or a pedo .. Think this time round i would just say , well no one died and made me town sherriff and grab the work , Dunno Really .
PS , sidenote , a very well known internet , boxing forum moderator , was actually a very very good freind of his , he actually introduced this mod to boxing where he run around doing pickups , chairs and general dogsbody , said mod then got on ratings committee for Aussie boxing and other jobs , but DENIED he was ever freinds with him after he was convicted , bullshit they were peas in a pod , Came out in later years has well that this pedo also was suspected of being involved with the famous familly , that was a bunch of pedo's responsible for the torture and murder of yound men , in South Aust , they were never caught and were supposodly all high up well to do doctors and politicians , , only one ever caught and convicted and he kept his mouth shut .

Google the familly murders , its interesting , south aust quite a gruseome place for a small state with just over a million population

I had never heard of the family murders but have googled it and wish i still hadnt. these people should be at the end of a rope. And to keep it back on topic, it doesnt matter what good is done if it is on the back of money made from misery, death and the destruction of families and society.

The worst one was the completely innocent Trevor O’Neill shot dead whilst holidaying in Majorca.

The Kinahan’s had got word that one of the Hutch’s was in Majorca on holiday so sent a hitman there to kill him.

In a case of mistaken identity the hitman shot dead another Irishman Trevor O’Neill in front of his partner & children.

This was way back in 2016.

Anyone who had anything to do with MTK after that can’t complain at been called scum or anything else. They deserve all they get & shouldn’t be allowed to forget who they worked for.
