Interesting post Spud - I love these insights.Controversial wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 08:06Did Haye not enjoy training or just didn’t like being told when to train?Spud wrote: ↑20 Oct 2023, 16:30 The injury problems especially for the Tyson Fury first scheduled fight was absolutely ridiculous, it is also my humble opinion the lack of sparring an training gave me no confidence at all that David would win the fight.
I was the only person allowed in Davids room and I always went to his room everytime he was due for training to escort him down to the Gym.I lost count the amount of times David was late for Training/sparring to the point Adam spoke to me and made me responsible to ensure David was
On time.
I tried to soften David by taking an espresso which he enjoyed, but, we were still late for virtually every session.
In that time before David got cut by Filip Hrgovic completing sparring was a nightmare …
In so many ways it was in my opinion it was a relief that the fight was cancelled.
It wasn’t until that supposed first fight that I became into the inner circle.
When it came to the supposed 2nd fight the injuries were a nightmare.
It was about that time that Adam wanted the first o Use his gym in purfleet more, again in my opinion that didnt prove popular or totally suitable for George.
In my opinion David Haye was a supremely talented boxer if were not for injuries could have achieved so much more.
As far as Adam Booth is concerned I think
He put up with a lot. I used to intensely dislike him but ended highly respecting him and liking him.
I remember when Haye was in his prime and was a guest on Soccer AM and didn't turn up as planned.
He eventually turned up half way through the show- he git away with it because he was a big star at this point.
Helen Chamberlain was laughing g and joking g with him asking why he was late, Haye said thst he just gets up whatever time he wakes up and does what he feels like when he feels like it.
The Soccer AM team seemed to find this hilarious although I am sure the producer was doing their nut.
He seemed to try to portray himself as some wonderful free spirit shite.
