Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
Well he did say he wouldn't fight him because he wasn't an English speaker, one of the dumbest things I've ever heard so you cannot blame people for thinking that. He also said that his hardest fight was vs a slippery former cruiserweight Cunningham.
But he gave Usyk plenty of motivation yesterday. It was hard for me to watch.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
Fury has just walked away from Dec 23rd after threatening legal action if Usyk did the same. You boy's finished. Mentally and physically he is weak.

Fury is the best self promoter in the game and works the boxing public like putty in his hands. People hang off every word, whether they like it or not and regurgitate everything he says.

If he was the best self promoter in the game, he would do the highest PPV numbers.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:45 Fury is the best self promoter in the game and works the boxing public like putty in his hands. Others rely on others for their promotion. Fury does it almost entirely himself. Look no further than this forum. You can't stop talking about him even if you want to :TU:jwfg wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:48If he was the best self promoter in the game, he would do the highest PPV numbers.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:45 Fury is the best self promoter in the game and works the boxing public like putty in his hands. I can't for the life of me understand why a boxer chooses to enter the ring in amazing shape. I predict Fury will enter the ring at a career heaviest.

I don't care about anything Fury says. What if he loses the fight? Then are we supposed to care?
I care only that the fight got signed, after Spence vs Crawford, and just before to Canelo vs Benavidez.

I dunno. It might have just been 17,000 ppv buys without the amazing self promotion?jwfg wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:48If he was the best self promoter in the game, he would do the highest PPV numbers.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:45 Fury is the best self promoter in the game and works the boxing public like putty in his hands. I'll tell you what though, it's been quite a turnaround from the high of when he came back from obesity, drug and alcohol abuse and mental health issues to capture the WBC title...to now having UK based fans turn against him and thousands now wanting Usyk to beat him. The nut nibblers will always remain though, loyal to the end (quite soon).

That must mean that Eddie Hearn's the best promoter as some folk's just can't stop obsessively chatting about him!jwfg wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:55Errr, this is a thread about Tyson Fury-Usyk.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:52Others rely on others. Am I not supposed to post about him in it? Just because I don't like Luke The Proven Drug Cheat Fury, doesn't mean I don't post about him.

The randomness of the question suggests It was just another of his bizarre deflections to somehow protect Fury`s honour![]()
I guess I've upset you?

I reckon a Wallin, Miller & Usyk triple accumulator is worth a punt.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:36 The betting agencies have Fury the clear favourite. Would no doubt have been an even shorter favourite had he performed better against Ngannou.

I don't see Wallin winning, but you never know. AJ is being underrated on here and in the media IMO.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 09:25I reckon a Wallin, Miller & Usyk triple accumulator is worth a punt.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:36 The betting agencies have Fury the clear favourite. Those odds will change very much as we approach February.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 08:36 The betting agencies have Fury the clear favourite. Would no doubt have been an even shorter favourite had he performed better against Ngannou.
I wonder how the US and RoW bookies have it atm?
Would you trust Fury to get in 100% shape both physically and mentally to do the bizzo?
Judging him by the prezza, he’s a pork pie short of a picnic.
And no one dared ask the GK about Ngannou? Wonder why. Coz that, let’s be honest here, was a proverbial embarrassment.
Embellish a reasoned response and I’ll doff my cap to you Rasta, Doofy, and any other non-knitting circle member.
As it stands, Usyk is he ands down winning the pre-fight battle. He doesn’t need to talk nonsense and call names. Its why he has the respect of so many.

"It’s a long hustle, but it keeps me real busy. I can take in three, three-fifty a week. Sometimes even more when I do it off the meter. All the animals come out at night – boxing promoters, Mercedes drivers, marijuana pushers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday, a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets.”
