Ref thought it was a slip.

That's a dodgy call. Watched it a few times and looks a clear knockdown to me. Feet don't appear to make any contact and Taylor loses balance and topples over rather than foot not making contact with the mat properly. Her left leg doesn't even move off the mat, which is the reason she went over.

In the refs defence, he only gets to see it once, from one angle and has to make a call in the moment.

Looking back, a different ref crowd or judges could’ve turned that fight right around. CC won’t have it any easier next time either. Two warriors tho and if they’ve both got an argument to make going into the 3rd and a Big Croke Park fight next summer sounds great to me, I was planning on going to Ireland around then anyway.

Have to convince my bird to go now…

What changes do you see either fighter making for next time?

Cracking fight. But as said before, how come they were both allowed to wear black and gold?

That's pro boxing, you do what you can get away with

Other refs could of been strict about Taylor's headwork and holding.

Cameron struggled with the cut, even though it was looked after well, she was a bit hesitant for a few rounds giving Taylor enough space to get her shots off.

Obviously been said before but the ref in the Fury fight is going to be crucial.

Joe Cortez didn't let Hatton fight on the inside

She never stood on her foot either.

It looked like she stood around her foot whilst she lunged in.

Regardless, was a clean punch that dropped her.

When Tyson fought Berbick, the commission had a rule that the challenger had to wear different colour shorts to the champion. To be a pudendum, Berbick wore black, Tyson chose to also wear black and was fined accordingly.

just watched it again. taylor did brilliantly and fought a clever fight like a seasoned pro.i can see how the ref called it a slip in the heat of the moment.

popped Monzon on ignore so I don't have to read his bitterness towards women and anyone else different. His mum'll be calling him for dinner soon so we'll get a break.

Katie Taylor: “It's Great To Prove People Wrong, I'm Back On Top Again”

“It definitely feels like the greatest performance of my career,” Taylor told a group of reporters during the post-fight press conference Saturday evening at 3Arena in Dublin. “This was the longest six months of waiting for this rematch. These past few weeks, I just went to bed thinking about this rematch. Just the pressure as well. It came to be that people were writing me off. This win meant so much to me.

“It’s great to prove people wrong. I’m back on top again.”

“Everyone watching the [first] fight knew it wasn’t myself last time,” Taylor said of the difference in her performances between the two fights. “I definitely felt a lot better this fight. I knew it was going to be a lot different. I knew when I stepped into the ring I would be myself and was going to win the fight.”

I wouldn't go as far as Monzon and boxing is boxing, but he's got a bit of a point.
There's very little opposition of quality in women's boxing and you can literally have 10 fights and be an alphabet world champion .
The gushing over Taylor is nauseating, Hearn calling her one of the greatest fighters of all time is an injustice to " great " fighters .
Can't even fight 3 minute rounds , why is that ?
Taylor last night was technically very poor at delivering punches correctly and people applaud it .
I don't get it .

Yes but he did get to see the constant headbut hold , headbutt hold scenario EVERY RND

If this was a whole card dedicated to women fights I would agree. It's got men on it too and to be fair RKO does set up the round by round fights each weekend. I'll stick it in the women's section tomorrow when it's fish and chip paper

Ref basically did for Cameron's chances between the knockdown and allowing constant holding.
