Pretty sure Joshua has a rematch clause with Wallin, none for Wilder?

Wilder needs to set up the Bomb, Parker didn't give him many opportunities, and when Wilder launched it, Parker ducked and it went over his back. I think some credit for that is due.rd350lc wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:11Absolutely this , you could see from the first bell his confidence was shot .jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:10 Wilder was always bang ordinary skill wise, I think fury robbed him of confidence. Parkers nothing special and easily contained him.

I want undisputed to happen but I’m kinda excited for the belts to fragment after.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
It’s a lot more than a possibility. Wilder has a terrible resume.
Saying Fury took his confidence is giving him a pass of sorts, one that he doesn’t deserve.

wilder beat so many soft touches a lotta people started to believe he was some sort of great of his generation and a hall of fame type fighter. you should see some of the guys he's been picked to splat in the mythical fights forum (e.g. ko 1 over bowe)
dom brezele and bermane stiverene are stll among the best 3 guys he beat in almost 50 fights. try to process that

That fight wasn’t good for the “wilder, Ortiz, fury” team and was Good for the “AJ, Ruiz, Parker” team.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:15 well, if you listen to fury and wilder fans, luis ortiz is basically a heavyweight great
If AJ smoke wallin it will be even more of the same.

Wilder was never the best boxer we all know that . But his chin is good and his punch well documented . Tonight though we did see him at 38 not really fought for a while and two verg impirtant things missing .
1 m his speed and timing
2. His confidence . He definetly seemed punch shy especielly early rnds

Surely everyone can see that THAT Wilder was terrible ?
Of course it's a good win - and well done Joe - but tonight is the win that's devalued.
Deontay past his best, lost the Eye-of-The-Tiger and just not mentally there tonight - clearly the worst performance of his career.
He was a one-trick-pony without his (wonderful) one trick.

Absolutely wanted him to win kiwi and was so pleased he did , but that was not obviously the best Wilder in there tonight.KiwiRider wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:15Wilder needs to set up the Bomb, Parker didn't give him many opportunities, and when Wilder launched it, Parker ducked and it went over his back. The batterings from Fury and inactivity took their toll I think.

just proves what many have said for years ..
wilder has no resume and is in fact a prentender to the throne .
Good riddance to him and his clown team - totally deluded fools .
Parker boxed out of his skin tonite .

the ortiz worship from fury and wilder fans over the years might even surpass the fighter worship of ''his excellency'gregregegg wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:19That fight wasn’t good for the “wilder, Ortiz, fury” team and was Good for the “AJ, Ruiz, Parker” team.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:15 well, if you listen to fury and wilder fans, luis ortiz is basically a heavyweight great

I’ll be surprised if Wilder fights again, 38 years old and his talk afterwards shows he’s lost the hunger and desire needed. The fight against AJ likely out the window now so he’s left in no mans land.

Crowd is pathetic. Sounds like the first fight of the night at a leisure centre
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
Yep. It hurts the resume of Fury, Wilder, Ortiz and anyone else in that chain of wins/losses. Wallin is their only chance to keep themselves in it.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
loads of empty seats , crap atmosphereGran Hermano wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:22 Crowd is pathetic. Sounds like the first fight of the night at a leisure centre
But great boxing

The Ortiz that beat Jennings looked like a world beater. We never saw that Ortiz again. Father time got him.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:21the ortiz worship from fury and wilder fans over the years might even surpass the fighter worship of ''his excellency'gregregegg wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:19That fight wasn’t good for the “wilder, Ortiz, fury” team and was Good for the “AJ, Ruiz, Parker” team.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:15 well, if you listen to fury and wilder fans, luis ortiz is basically a heavyweight great

Zhang, Ruiz, miller, AJ. They’re there all good fights still I think. If he wants them. But will be hard to demand mega bucks based off that…Controversial wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:22 I’ll be surprised if Wilder fights again, 38 years old and his talk afterwards shows he’s lost the hunger and desire needed. If they make more cards like that, the crowd can be as pathetic as they want.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
Wallin looks like an AJ fan. I don't see this going past 5-6 rounds.
