get dubs back too, he earned it by beating up the babby.
if fwank is willing to play high risk ....i'd love dubs vs zhang
kabayel in another good match up as well. now with wins over del and mak, he's shown he can deliveer when given the chance

Just a tad bit too long. Can't believe I watched like 8 hours of boxing today.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 20:19 Great card overall..

We got the secound knockout like 15 mins after the first one, but they streched it way too much after that.
It was like 3 a.m. in Riyadh.
Anyway, sleep well.

Enjoyed seeing fat baby get a kicking and wilder humbled was most satisfying

And Wilder was so sure he had won.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 20:30 Enjoyed seeing fat baby get a kicking and wilder humbled was most satisfying
Yet he was desperately trying to close it in the 12th and his corner were giving him the "you gotta finish him" after the tenth.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
bad night for Fury in a way.
I originally tipped Parker for an easy win, but started to doubt and in the end probably would have gone for a Wilder KO. The odds for Parker were amazing.
I’ve always thought Wallin was tailor made for Joshua. He really is good, but does nothing good enough to pose a threat to the elite. Would possibly outbox Wilder though.

I think he was going through the motions, just in case he got a dodgy decision.KiwiRider wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 20:45And Wilder was so sure he had won.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 20:30 Enjoyed seeing fat baby get a kicking and wilder humbled was most satisfying

Wilder has always been one of the worst HW Champs of recent times. Appalling and badly padded record and his power is way overrated, tbh.
On paper, sure, looks decent but his opposition has been diabolically woeful, bar (a creaking and old) Ortiz, who was beating him up badly, Fury, who did beat him up several times and KO him and now Parker, who clearly outworked him with better fundamentals..
I still chuckle when commentators rave about his power as ATG.... Wilder, in any other HW era is never even close to a title. Middle of the road, journeyman, at best.
I shudder at the thought of what Lennox Lewis, Bowe and Holyfied would've done to him.

You're right, his age plays a part and his inactivity but he is also a changed man - he seems happy and has nothing to prove (which is correct - Olympic bronze medalist and WBC world champion - who wouldn't take that when walking into a boxing gym for the first time) I don't think we will see him in a boxing ring ever again, the ayahusca has changed his world view and though Fury won the fights, Wilder has won where it matters - he is content and he is going to be fine in retirement - Fury is a car crash that is going to happen once he can't box anymore.coneye wrote: ↑23 Dec 2023, 19:19 Wilder was never the best boxer we all know that . But his chin is good and his punch well documented . Tonight though we did see him at 38 not really fought for a while and two verg impirtant things missing .
1 m his speed and timing
2. His confidence . He definetly seemed punch shy especielly early rnds

2 out of 3 for me last night.
I expected Dubois to quit again. But fair play he stayed with it. But I think it's just he found his level, and it's below elite.
Parker I had beating Wilder from the beginning. And I was very confident Joshua would be made to look 'back to his best' again by beating Wallin.
So 2 of Fury's best 3 wins were actually quite cheap and of little value after all.

aside from the KO rounds, has Wilder won more than 6 rounds in the combined 64 rounds he fought against Fury, Ortiz and Parker.
Yet he has been lauded as some kind of great this week….
And as for Wallin, he was lauded as some 50:50 threat on the basis of cutting Fury… he still lost pretty much every round.

Wallin was an excellent opponent according to large numbers who know what they’re talking about.
It’s typical though that because it’s Joshua who’s done a number on him that the revisionism will ramp up.
Wallin is Fury’s 3rd/4th best win. Says a lot.
Joshua was mustard last night. End of

I think it was less that he cut Fury, and more the fact he went 12 rnds with a 'peak' Fury and didn't look in trouble at anytime.
Fury's legacy diminishing more and more ..
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
What does Wallin do that is excellent on paper? Even before yesterday…what did he bring to seriously threaten beating Joshua? Power? Speed? Size? A famed engine? Nobody talked up Wallin in the build up, just said if Joshua is shot… Wallin stands a chanceWrists wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023, 05:44 Wallin was an excellent opponent according to large numbers who know what they’re talking about.

He’s good but for me as big a threat as that guy who Joshua fought who ran Whyte close… in fact possibly a shade under him.

Teddy Atlas predicted Wallin to win .. by stoppage too.

nah wallin aside from horribly cutting fury also hurt him in the 12th and won some rounds. i posted links to the round by round here and also a scoring site, and many gave him 4-5 rounds. i gave him 4. and fury in addition to the huge cut had a smaller one and a big black eye, it wasnt just one shot. at the time many considered fury the #1 hw in the world so giving him some problems earned wallin some respect.stujones wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023, 05:34 aside from the KO rounds, has Wilder won more than 6 rounds in the combined 64 rounds he fought against Fury, Ortiz and Parker.

further, fury couldnt hurt wallin and really didnt budge him much, making him look decently tough compared to whyte and deontay '5 knockdowns' wilder
good performance by josh to not lose 10 seconds against a guy who gave trouble to fury. some people were on wallin, but pretty sure josh was still a big fave?
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin | PPV - 23 December 2023
Fair enough, but let’s not forget Wallin fought Fury when he was considered a paper puncher and he couldn’t hurt Wilder or weak chin Wlad. It was pre Sugar Hill.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023, 05:58nah wallin aside from horribly cutting fury also hurt him in the 12th and won some rounds. i posted links to the round by round here and also a scoring site, and many gave him 4-5 rounds. and fury in addition to the huge cut had a smaller one and a big black eye, it wasnt just one shot. at the time many considered fury the #1 hw in the world so giving him some problems earned wallin some respect.stujones wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023, 05:34 aside from the KO rounds, has Wilder won more than 6 rounds in the combined 64 rounds he fought against Fury, Ortiz and Parker.

Nobody could dispute that Joshua punches a lot harder than the Peter Fury/Ben Davidson version of Fury.
Perhaps I’m doing him a disservice as I know the cut came from a punch … but the fact Fury had that nasty nasty cut a Wallin still couldn’t do nothing with him really says a lot about Wallin.
The Fury who fought Wilder in fight 2 or 3 and fought Whyte would dominate Wallin, What does Wallin bring to the table?
I’d be very very confident Usyk would win a handsome decision against Tyson Fury the back foot boxer who cannot punch.

There was only 5 months between Wallin fighting Fury and Fury fighting Wilder the second time ... do you seriously believe Fury would have learnt enough in the 10-12 weeks max with Sugar Hill to have then dominated Wallin straight after?
