I timed the count at 2 minutes and 17 seconds. Does anyone know if there are any YouTube videos that go into more detail about it?
The only one I've seen is the excellent ITV documentary.

The reason everyone has started to notice the blinking of McClellan in the Jackson fight is because of my video that first pointed it out. It was viewed by around a million ppl before my youtube channel was deleted due to copyright infringements, but heres the original video.



I've since made another video addressing all the accusations against Nigel Benn.



It's unlisted due to copyright but this link should work. I answer the accusations about the rabbit punches, the long count, the ref rescuing Benn, the headbutt and the steroid accusation. I also include extra info on my belief that Julian Jackson started the brain bleed, and I include info previously unknown about Benn's 'shadow on the brain' after the fight.

I find the referee's constant interfering with McClellan to protect Benn, and Benn's incessant rabbit punching and, finally, flying headbutt, too distracting to enjoy the fight. Same with Frank Bruno fights, forever rabbit punching importees while the home ref looks the other way. It offends my sense of fair play.

I think for fans of pure violence it's obviously a classic.

I don't feel any sympathy for McClellan, given his sadism towards dogs, but a fight must be fair.

On my video I explain why he kept separating them. It wasn't to protect Benn as he never even had any reason to protect him. McClellan would pull and push fighters around, hold his hand in front of their face so they couldn't see shots coming, he would hit on the back of the head, kidneys etc, he would also try to rush at Benn when the ref hadn't finished telling him off for pushing, he even pushed the ref once. Benn only started rabbit punching after McClellan did it, he even knocked Benn out of the ring with shots to the back of the head.

I actually watched the first few rounds again and you are right, the count was fine. I’d not watched it again for decades. Possibly even when it was live was the first and only time.

I was wrong about a lot of the early part of that fight. I do stand by it being a disturbing fight to celebrate however.

I don't care what you say in your video, the referee is interfering and getting in the way of McClellan. Your one paragraph is so riddled with lies and half-truths that it's obvious you're a Benn fanatic. Any honest unbiased boxing fan can see the ref is either crooked or incompetent.
