If there was ever a time Wilder needed good outside work this is it.
He has to remember it's a twelve round fight too and to keep some in the tank.

Zhang throws some crushing blows.

I never thought I would see anyone steamroller Joyce, like he did. Dubois was throwing bombs on him, and he just stood there smiling. Zhang is accurate too, and really good behind the jab.

Wilder doesn't have the technique to tackle Zhang, and has been a little gun shy as of recent. When you got bombs coming the other way, how much is he going to want to trade and/or take the risk?

I can't see this going any other way than Wilder getting smoked, early.

Depends on Deontay and how serious he is about it.

Shot? That's what you say when you realize the product of hype, promotion and careful matchmaking isn't what they told you it was? Boxing language.

Zhang-Wilder. Another PR win for the Saudi butchers. The loser faces the bone-saw.

I watched a clip of the blow that decked Joseph Parker and you could see the force behind the punch.

The man punches like a mule kick.

the parker fight perfectly showed zhangs strengths and weaknesses

hurts joe with pretty much anything half clean, drops him twice, crushes his nose

but by gawd the man has no work rate or tank

wilder-zhang is one of those fights that could be fire works or could be sh!t

both huge punchers. early on it's gonna be very tense and someone could well get flattened

but both are also low output. in their last fights their work rates were dreadful if no one is flattened early, we could see a sluggish zhang and a gun shy wilder just standing off and feinting each other endlessly

Wilder has always been terrible; never learned to box. His only real class wins are over Ortiz and he lost almost every round he fought against him outside of the ones where he dropped/stopped him. Ditto with Fury-he maybe won 3 rounds tops outside of the ones he knocked Fury down in . . in 3 fights. His "title defense" run was prior to Ortiz was the greatest joke on the boxing public ever: Duhuapas? Gerald Washington? An inactive fat Stiverne?

Zhang will stop him. I'll probably even put money on it if fools are dumb enough to yet again over-rate Wilder at the bookies.

I feel like this is a bad style match up for Zhang due to his lack of head movement and slow feet. If you let Wilder have a target it's going to be a bad night.

He looked like the novice Cruiserweight against Zhang. He was being outclassed since the opening round, rushed ineffectively like an idiot, when he managed to score his only good punch, shortly after what he got rocked by the slippy punched, rolled on 180° and ate the punishment.

parker and zhang beat wilder easily, he's not done well since consistently fighting top opposition, aka opponents that would be too good for derek chisora to beat.
