Yep. 2nd round. It was definitely the most I'd ever seen Floyd rocked by a punch, and then rounds 3 thru 12 he dominated, and picked apart Mosley, and wound up winning a lopsided decision.

I'd say the only other time I really ever saw Floyd buckled a little bit was one of them shots that Demarcus Corley got him with.

Not too many occasions where you ever saw Floyd noticeably hurt.

Maidana fought the right way to fight a fighter like Floyd. Maidana was very awkward, aggressive and tough. Tough fight for Floyd. Maidana, Castillo, Oscar, Mosley and probably Judah were Floyd's toughest fights.

Mosley definitely wasn't one of his toughest fights. Other than that one moment where he rocked Floyd, he lost the fight decisively.

Judah gave him hell in the early going so he'd one of his tougher ones for sure.

2 guys that gave him a tough fight that always seem to get overlooked for doing so are Miguel Cotto and Victoriano Sosa. Floyd won those fights, but had his share of difficulty throughout the night.

True, kind of like what Fury was trying to do with Usyk. SSM had clearly shown to have lost his razor sharpness by the time FMJ gave him his shot. But for a brief segment of one round he nearly pulled it off.

At least he was not entirely triggerless like he ended up being for the fights with Manny and Canelo.

At that time Mosley wasn't a big enough name to get the attention of the Mosley's and De La Hoya's of the world. Once Floyd beat De La Hoya, now HE was the star, and in the driver's seat and it was his turn to call the shots.

Well yes, but you have to agree that he was a master of timing?! I mean c'mon, FMJ was very clever in having all the advantages on his side. Ok I could understand the narratives that he liked to build up the demand/hype or he didn't want to give Arum or Oscar big paydays but I think everybody would've loved to see FMJ fighting Cotto and then MP in 2008.
