Look - you've been hostile to me on another thread so you clearly don't like me. I've been on this forum for over 20 years and never had a problem with anyone before. Let's just block each other as life is far too short for acrimony.

I don't lie - perhaps as someone who has been a top level solicitor for over 25 years (if you don't believe that I can send you a copy of my Practicing Certificate) my phrasing can seem nuanced but I'm never false.

All the best

You’re 100% lying. Cambridge university is an ABA licensed club and they would have bouts with non regulation 16oz gloves.
James - why are you coming for Loynesy?

He has clearly stated it wasn't in formal ABA competition - and from the outset said it was the lowest level possible. He isn't swinging his Johnson around.

Both decent posters, don't really get what is going on.

Many happy returns Sean 👍

With regards to the size of the gloves - I'd rather get hit with 8oz gloves from someone who doesn't know how to punch than with 16oz gloves from someone who does.

This fight is really pissing me off to be honest. Mike was my hero growing up. It was bad enough watching him vs Williams and McBride. Now this 20 years later, ffs

I'm hearing the fight has been postponed.

And Jake's brother has offered to stand in as a replacement

I'm going to call it now, I think this isn't going to happen. Mike's probably suffering because he's training hard, and his body cannot hack it, leading to his immune system collapsing.

It will be cancelled in the next couple of weeks, and a good thing too.

Surely this can't go ahead. Tyson was washed up when he was in his thirties.. He's approaching 60 now and seemingly has serious ulcer problems. Jake Paul is actually half-decent and hits hard enough to be knocking out professional fighters that are in better condition than Tyson.

If it’s live on Netflix I’d be amazed they would run the risk of a 58 year old potentially getting seriously hurt or having a medical crisis live on TV. I’m sure their lawyers and legal team would be making it as safe as possible so that leads me to think if it does go ahead it will be more like a WWE ‘fight’ and no one will be getting hurt.
