these are some of the greatest ever wins by a Thai, in particular away from home, which they typically struggle with.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 Jun 2024, 12:56 sor had a great run, unfortunetly he's never been in the same form again and had personal issues, but winning as underdog 3 fights in a row vs p4p level opposition is some hot sheeyat

I know these are a stretch:
Thierry Jacob well beat Daniel Zaragoza (a Hall of Famer) and ... Duke McKenzie, in a very tough one that Duke said prepared him for his best ever performance, when he schooled Gaby Canizales. I know Duke is not in the IBHOF, but his feat of winning titles in 3 weight classes will likely remained unchallenged among British fighters (post Fitzsimmons, of course).
Jacob obviously had an uneven career, thrashed by Tracy Harris Patterson, making up for it by giving Wilfredo Vazquez two gruelling battles prior to being stopped on cuts and KO, losing an up and downer with Kelvin Seabrooks and beaten by compatriot Fabrice Benichou. The wins over Zaragoza and McKenzie are certainly his finest hours.
More of interest:
Many feel Chan Young Park beat Khaosai Galaxy in a battle of future title holders. Although Galaxy got the decision. Park also appeared to get the better of Daniel Zaragoza, in a very tough albeit unsuccessful bid for a super bantamweight title. Park was knocked out by Wilfredo Vasquez in another tough one, Vasquez being another likely future Hall of Famer. Park also KO'd Takuya Muguruma in a war, the same Muguruma who drew with Vasquez in an astonishing battle, to give an indication of the levels at which these guys were competing in fiercely competed bouts.

I wonder, who beat the most Hall of Famer is a row? Did anyone beat two? three?

ha, I forgot already. And it was a superb fight as well, vs Reilekh. Was it the basic WBA or was it a lesser, like a WBA Regular?Bladder wrote: ↑18 Jun 2024, 03:04Ricky BurnsAutobarn wrote: ↑17 Jun 2024, 12:10 I know these are a stretch:
