I haven’t been paying too much attention to the hype at all. Lemme guess though..mike has released some videos of himself hitting the pads and looking sharp doing so. Nobody looks better on the pads than he does. Pad proficiency is way overrated. A good mitt holder can make you look good. Boost confidence even. Maybe Mike tags him early. I’d like to see it. But 58 with lots of rust and wear and tear. Hasn’t exactly been living a monastic lifestyle the last 30 years. We will see what he brings but expectations should be tempered. Some of the YouTube comments on those edited Tyson clips hitting the pads are beyond laughable.

Some of them proclaim that off the back of an edited and sped up clip of Tyson hitting the pads, that he can come back in his late 50s and regain the HW championship of the world. :oo

Yeah, people are idiots. All you have to do in order to figure this one out is watch Tyson-McBride and then add 20 years of pot smoking.

As much as I'd like to see Tyson tear up the script and put Paul in hospital I fear the reverse is more likely to happen.

After the plane incident why is this "fight" still going ahead?

Should a man with a stomach ulcer even be allowed to box?

Oh hang on, even as I write, this comes through.

My interest in this is now ZERO. Time to stay retired, Mike.

It honestly never should've been signed in the first place. This seems like a good moment for Mike to just back out of it.

Pretty much sums it up.

I thought it was just as bad an idea as Belfort-Holyfield, right from the get-go.

58 is 58. So Many People just Love to stir up unrealistic fantasies in they're wacked out, warped, delusional little minds.

As if Mike Tyson would suddenly turn back into the 1988 versus Mike Spinks version of himself, because people are wishing and envisioning that sort of thing.

I always felt in the back of my mind that this fight wouldn't happen.

I am willing to bet that its postponement becomes permanent.

As it really actually Should.

Holyfield was a complete shell of his former self, at 58, versus a 44 year old "Former" mma fighter(Belfort), who basically made Holyfield look like he was just some random old dude actor, with a nice lil weightlifter build, but with also no real boxing abilities.
Obviously though, The Holyfield from even 2008(At 46), from the Valuev bout, would've starched Belfort within 3 rounds. Maybe 5 if his shoulder was bothering him. I'd say more likely 1 or 2 rounds but Holyfield Really became a slow starter, by the time he fought Bobby Czaz in 1995(At the age of 33).

As for Mike Tyson, he's not a more impressive specimen at 58 than what Holyfield was at that age.
Anyone who says otherwise are simply kidding and/or fooling themselves.
I simply cannot Fathom the idea of fighting an Arrogant 27 year old if I were a 58 year old former champion boxer.

Heck, even if I had only been a former fringe contender in my prime, I Still would want nothing to do with giving an arrogant punk the opportunity to feel delusionally Glorious over getting the better of a withered out version of myself. Just the thought of it is enough to sicken the stomach. Jake Paul needs to instead, call out the muscle bound drunk Conor McGregor, if there isn't anyone else more fitting.

Rescheduled for November 15. I'll believe it when they are in the ring.

And ironically almost certainly more dangerous than a 58 year old Mike Tyson will be.
