It's a good time to be a fan with these generational talents. Though out of these three, Crawford's career has been frustrating at times. These are some incredibly skilled athletes that are real masters of the sport.
Solid trio that.

Bobby Chacon.. never a dull fight

Larry Holmes.. most complete heavyweight in my opinion
LH certainly in the highest echelon. The footage of him running over cars, jumping from one to try and attack Trevor Berbick remains one of the greatest videos of all time.

Fair to say he was a tough guy.
Absolutely. Larry was class. If anyone hasn’t seen that video. Look it up. Berbick kicked the hornets nest there.

I would love to have seen the first 2 live (but is that asking for retrospective youth?).

Seen Loma live a bunch of times. Perhaps he went too senior too early, but he went very high very early.

They are no brainers really. I was always excited for Mannys fights and after his first and second with JMM, Marquez became my new favourite. The KO of Manny was literally incredible :salut:

Duran vs Dejesus was one of the first big fights I ever seen and it blew me away the level both fighters showed (2nd fight).

Who is around now that comes even close to these guys?

Active - Inoue, Usyk, Tank Davis

Ever - Hearns, Benn, Chavez

This could easily change on any given day.

I've got mixed emotions on Gatti. Loved him as a fighter but when I lived in New York used to do personal training (just pads and fitness) with Joey Gamache and we became quite friendly. He was certain (and brought lawsuits against Gatti) that the weigh in for their fight was rigged.

At the time, he was one of Manny Stewards assistants so he would make $100 an hour in between training camps to personal fitness train idiots like me.

I always tried to do the last session of the day so we could grab a coffee (he wasn't a drinker) afterwards so I could talk boxing nonsense with him.

Monster Inoue. Crawford is class but his resume is shite. Tank and those other guys he talks shit with are cherry pickers.

Manny, Morales, MAB and JMM fought everyone and anyone.
I loved JMM. And Manny. I know Manny was smashing HGH to grow through the weights but he was fearless and so good to watch.

Most of the scientific literature I’ve read on HGH indicates it’s not very effective for “growth” in normal adults.

I don’t doubt he was on PEDs of some kind but why do you reckon HGH?
Hi mate. HGH is the game changer for people trying to add mass and take their structural frame to the next level. HGH used with insulin or IGF1 is the product used widely for those seeking to add capacity gain muscle. Larry Olubamiwo speaks very articulately regarding it in relation to boxing, especially as a pharmacy graduate and pro boxer who used it. I used it for strongman and it was the thing that me and my peers used to take us to the highest level of synthetic (and pointless) size. Pacman is a tiny man, he used HGH. His skin is recognised by anyone who knows HGH as the skin of someone who was smashing HGH. It is not scientific but if you know, you know.
