I'd like to see fisher vs gorman. nathans not interested, but would still give him a few rounds and teach him a few things.

I see Fisher losing in a similar fashion, when his bubble inevitably bursts.

They need to tread very carefully I feel, if they want to keep this earner going.

I'd be betting against him in both.
Torrez is an Olympic Silver medalist with very heavy hands. Fisher doesn't want to be anywhere near that.
possible suspect chin though.

Yeah Torrez would probably start favourite but Fisher would have height, weight and home field advantage on a co main of a UK bill.
That may make Torrez a backable proposition.

How did Johnny Fisher get on when he fought Jalolov?

torrez only 19 when he was ko'd by jalolov and he did a lot better in the rematch and rocked him even. jalolov so so talented and its a shame his pro career has never got going due to his amateur focus

i doubt torrez and fisher could realistically happen any time soon. torrez himself has a promotional giant sstrongly supporting him and no way would top rank have him to the uk on a matchroom card. and seems too tough for what mr would match fisher with at the moment

i do thhink torrez will be a bit limited for highest level, but same goes for fisher. maybe one day.....

I'd like to see that fight too.
Gorman is the perfect in between fight before Fisher steps up to the Wardley and Clarkes level.
Unfortunately Fisher learned nothing from Babic, but he would from Gorman.

If not Gorman then he could build his record further and challenge himself against some of the many Europeans with padded records. There's a lot of guys ranked 50-150 with one or no losses and 10-20 wins. Obviously there's potential banana skins there but they would look good on his record and I imagine some of them are actually terrible, the others will ask questions which could teach him a lot.

Gorman is a good shout. He's guaranteed to come in obese and capitulate to a sustained attack

how about the ukrainian guy who beat gorman and ali. not a puncher but a good box and mover. johnny would actually hav to track down a target

im not really sure gorman offers much learning experience these days tbh. he was almost 300 pounds last time (a career high by 23 pounds) and hasnt won in 2 years. he barely threw punches most rounds his last fight and the 77-76 score was laughably generous, he won 2 rounds top, only 1 for me. is that really the trajectory of someone up to much?

he was blasted out early by wardley too, so im not sure how locked in to offer rounds he is vs a puncher, especially if he comes in even fatter, as his last weight suggests he might

Yep, I could get behind a Fisher v Adelaye clash :TU:

I'm guessing all involved might want a British title on the line, rather than the English title, so that could involve waiting for Wardley & Clarke to move on.

That said, I think Fisher still needs a couple of medium tests before entering into a 10 or 12 rounds contest with Adelaye.

With Fisher's incredible ticket selling ability his team are in a position to reject pressure to rush Johnny's development.

Some of the names mentioned by Posters such as Dave Allen or Nathan Gorman are ok as long as they happen soon and in quick succession. If they are strung-out with long build ups, then the the neutral fan is going to become bored and lose interest.

I loved the finishing combo that put Babic away and it will be interesting to see if Johnny can really fight when the steps start getting more dangerous.

Agree, but it was after the DDD fight he started packing it on and more infrequent fights. 40 pounds, I just checked. And yes, I do find him a likable chap :TU:

Maybe Gorman has realised he doesn't have the chin for a proper run at European / world honours and is just making a few quid

Gorman was never that good TBH. His level where he's capable of winning is English title, and that's fine, but talk of him being able to win a British title and beyond is very fanciful.

Sounds like you're gearing up to put 300 quid on Gorman for the win :TU:
