The undercard is a bizarre mix of fights/fighters.

Re: Zak Chelli vs. Callum Simpson | Sky Sports - 3 August 2024
I think they just decided they could put any fights on the card as the whole crowd are only turning up to watch one fight.
Re: Zak Chelli vs. Callum Simpson | Sky Sports - 3 August 2024
Problem is they also have a three-four hour slot on Sky Sports to fill.
I like the main event, but a Caroline Dubois fight and Joe Laws several weight divisions out of his depth does not make a great undercard.

It makes an awful undercard, one of the worst I've seen on a major show

I'm at Tankersley Manor near Barnsley for a few days as the in laws are over from Oz and all the Boxxer fighters arrived this morning and this afternoon. Looks a very professional set up and the Boxxer team are very nice. Shalom's not there as he's in US. Spoke to a fella from Mckenna's team, lovely chap. The Mckenna brothers arrived hald hour ago and even saw Mick Hennessey arrive this afternoon. Nice surprise for the mini holiday.

Seen a little bit of what boxers go through to make weight. Seen Callum to and from the gym spa and sauna several times, still friendly and polite but it must be a Ballache the last few pounds.
Mick and Fran Hennessey are here too, as is Shane Mcguigan

Really poor card but good, old fashioned main event.
I’d have no problems with shows like these if there were more of them. Frustratingly this is the first U.K. show in 7 weeks on Sky Sports after nothing in July and one in June and, unless I’m missing something, there aren’t any other shows confirmed on regular Sky Sports.
Re: the main event, I actually think it’s a 50/50. Chelli is pretty hard to beat and I haven’t seen enough from Simpson to be confident in picking him.

jeffers didnt have much trouble with him
Re: Zak Chelli vs. Callum Simpson | Sky Sports - 3 August 2024
Look forward to this main event although the card is absolutely woeful as others have said.
You'd think Simpson should have enough, anyone with ambitions above European level should be beating Chelli but if he blows him away it'd still be seriously impressive.
I would love to see Simpson-Jeffers at some stage. Was intrigued by the rumours of Sadjo-Jeffers; but I think Hearn was saying Sadjo wanted to drop to 160 (as the reason why they couldn't make Pacheco-Sadjo).

Is Joey Pyle still looking after Chelli?
Re: Zak Chelli vs. Callum Simpson | Sky Sports - 3 August 2024
Wasn't that clear cut as I remembered.
Re: Zak Chelli vs. Callum Simpson | Sky Sports - 3 August 2024
I’m a tad biased as I’m a Simpson fan but I fancy him strongly.
I feel the way he loses this is by getting carried away with the excitement of fighting at home & emptying the tank early doors.
If he stays disciplined he wins wide on points or maybe a late stoppage. Chelli’s a decent fighter but he’s not what I’d class as a particularly strong British champ & Simpson for me has the talent to go further
