Bit harsh maybe ?
Didn't he get "a bit greedy" going for KO1 and complacent AF ?

Probably I’m being harsh but he was talking about going to the YouTube scene after his fight with Hennessy and he’s been beaten by KO against an area/English title level lightweight in Rylan Charlton.

Now this fight has been and gone I reckon he might try to rekindle the YouTube stuff.

I’ll concede when this main event was made I rubbed my hands together.

I think it’s gonna be a really good even fight.

Probably not, but - when you see Caroline Dubois land full-blooded shots like that, with good accuracy, technique, turning over etc.. We all think - ah women have no powah. BUT, is it possible they have better chins ?
:maybe:
Women have a higher pain threshold than men, so it's possible. :maybe:

Chelli nearly dropped late in round 1

Early crisis for Chelli

Simpson's got some support for a guy who's just getting to domestic title level, place is rocking

Surely Sheffield arena will be too small. Is Leeds arena much bigger than Sheffield?

It's a very close fight, but Simp seems to be nicking the rounds on atmosphere and coming fwd.

Defo a few rounds ahead - I got 6-1-1.
Anyone ?

9-1-1 for me.

119-110 bit harsh on Chelli, but he's game AF, but just not that good.

Not a great fight. Chelli no real desire to hold on to his title. Easy win for Simmo in the end..

117-111 Simpson, he hurt Chelli with a right in the 1st and even though he couldn't hurt him again he remained the boss, Chelli took a few rounds when he worked behind the jab but he stopped using it and wasn't aggressive enough, Simpson won the physical battle, walked forward got the better of the exchanges, worked harder, better engine, it got a bit predictable when they'd wail in and then clinch, Simpson was landing the better shots and looking the boss

Simpson deserves credit, big step up, British and Commonwealth shot, headlining on Sky at his home stadium and breezed the 12 rounds

I think Simpson will be in more entertaining fights going forward.

I thought Chelli was instigating the holding and his wild swinging and head down charging in contributed to the holding as it was like he was aimlessly throwing himself into a clinch a lot of the time.

I’m guessing Jeffers is Simpson’s first defence? Nice little war of the roses.

Do you have to keep spamming this guys vids. It's annoying to see the lads brick head in threads, especially after that Darch debacle.

I sure am Jon - and a massive thank you for taking the time to do that. It's awaiting a decent frame (ordered) and is going on the wall in my office. As are the pictures you kindly arranged. The shorter Irish gent who was in McKenna's corner on the night was a very nice guy at the hotel and took the time to talk. I also had a chat with a nice guy and didn't realise it was Kevin Maree until after!

The daughter keeps asking me when Fran is next fighting, I suspect we'll be up and down the country watching her now. She is hugely into the sport. Was impressed she spotted Connor Coyle before I did!

Leprechaun - it's a forum. You can readily ignore. Or keep scrolling. I'm not exchanging negatively on a public forum, and respect your right to find others posts/posters annoying, just pop me on foe/ignore and voila, gone. Or, it's all on one thread, just ignore that thread. It won't affect your virginity, I promise it'll still be intact.
