Round-by-Round: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | PPV - 26 April 2025
Re: Round-by-Round: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | PPV - 26 April 2025
Beefy looks like he's lost a couple of steps. No snap in his shots, cut, can see him being pulled out unless he suddenly comes to life.

Smith's looking old in there . Can't let his hands go . He sees the openings but there gone before he can pull the trigger

It was always going to be crap.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 14:43 I know this question comes up every time there’s a suspect PPV… but genuinely is this the worst PPV ever? 5 fights only and a meaningless main event? Not a single world title…. No genuine ticket sellers… just awful
If the main event turns out to be decent (it won't) I'll watch it later on YouTube.

Interesting but McKenna is prevailing so far.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 15:03I’m loving it even the corner advice is goodNeil Gee wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 15:03For sure this is an intriguing cross-generation battle. You've got Smith who's fought at the very top and he's still good but he's right at the end of his career in his mid 30's against the unbeaten young boxer all raw aggression and full of it. Experience versus potential. I think it's an absorbing match.

Always think of Jerome Wilson who was on the undercard of Haye v Harrison. Obviously wasn't that fight he got his LCI in but still. Jerome and his mum only managed to reach a settlement with the Board, Inter County Paramedics Ltd and Dave Coldwell over allegations of delays to treatment last year.tannervegas wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 15:01Shocking main event result notwithstanding it was the worst PPV I’ve ever seen. Apart from Haye v Harrison. I’m still annoyed that I paid for that.
I would never point the finger in that type of situation when not privy to the facts and none of these people want injuries to happen (depending on your interpretation of Eddie's smash you to pieces comments), but we should always remember the risks these young people take to try and earn a living.

Sadly I’d forgotten about Jerome Wilson. It’s the toughest and most unforgiving of all sports. I hope he’s well.Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 15:11Always think of Jerome Wilson who was on the undercard of Haye v Harrison. Obviously wasn't that fight he got his LCI in but still. Rubbish pt deduction !?
Smith not shot by any means, but clearly past his best.
69-63 Silencer.

Beefy is old. I maintain that clean fighters that are in weight making divisions can't be anything but on the fast decline once they get to their mid 30s.

His dad is daft as a brush, but great to see him there

Very impressed with McKenna. I know smith isn't near his peak but McKenna has shown great variety and isn't missing much.

Sky comm overwhelmed with surprise that senior’s there. He was always gonna be there, it’s probably contracted that him and Nigel must be in the ring pre fight

I jumped up cheering!
Re: Round-by-Round: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | PPV - 26 April 2025
Great to see Sr and Jr together.
Did you hear the cheers! Years ago Eubank was the villain, I saw him fight a few times live and went to hopefully see him beat, how times have changed. Public are very fickle.
The Eubanks are going to be heroes tonight, and when they walk to the ring I think it will be a symphony of cheering as for Benn......
I still quote Johnny Nelson 'Conor Benn will not get any boos'

He was attacked in front of his son earlier this year and still has ongoing problems from his injury but he seems to have a strong character.tannervegas wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 15:14Sadly I’d forgotten about Jerome Wilson.
