I think big John has gone OTT with Gareth and Spencer but Gareth is being stupid antagonising his family/friends.

I scored the fight live 5-5 so had Allen winning by 1 point.

Whilst the bulk of the rounds were easy to score I’ve seen plenty of much worse decisions not get close to the same level of outrage. Steve Gray’s card for example on Saturday was far worse than anything from the Fisher/Allen fight.

Is big Dave gonna clobber him into submission or will Bosh keep him at distance and take a points victory?

Looking forward to it

How can GAD say the judging was a disgrace when he himself only had Allen up by one point!? Also didn’t one judge have Allen winning? A disgrace is Hamzah Sheeraz getting a draw over Carlos Adames

Exactly. I had Adames up by 6 against Sheeraz I think. That was a disgraceful decision.

As I said I also had Allen up by 1 but I think GAD gave Allen round 10 and Fisher round 6 whilst I had it the other way.

I don’t mind GAD but he tries to be everything and doesn’t like being disliked.

He thinks he’s an expert, he’s a pundit and also wants to be everyone’s best friend. He’s maintaining his opinion that it was a disgrace of a decision. That’s fine in one sense because he shouldn’t change his opinion if that’s what he still thinks but he also should have realised that a one point fight is unlikely to be a robbery.

He then tries to be friendly with the Fishers entire family even approaching Johnny’s mum and sister to get back in the good books.

Re: Charlie Parsons, he’s just an interviewer with a TikTok profile (c.200k followers I think). He’s talks more rubbish (fashion) stuff with Eddie than anyone else but he gives the fighters/shows/Eddie more exposure than the others probably do. He doesn’t really give opinions unlike GAD.

GAD has a superiority complex. It oozes from him when he talks. You can hear the indignation in his voice because he has had to defend himself against someone like John Fisher calling him out.

He did say the decision was a disgrace, he did say Allen was a clear winner. He also said he had it one round for Allen. I turn him off most of the time.

If you stuck him in front of one of the judges, he wouldn't dare to call him a disgrace

Thinks he is an expert, he should be due to length of service and access, same as Smith really

I've really grown to dislike the Fishers over all this. "The haters" seem to mean anybody who scored the fight against Johnny. The gimmick is wearing thin. The show is far from sold out, whole blocks went on sale yesterday presumably when the undercard fighters sent their tickets back. I had two racegoers in my car yesterday from Romford who'd never heard of them. Maybe that's the boxing, dazn bubble...

davies is a twat but he's right about the judging, also a fight can be close yet still have a bad decision if the rounds are clear enough. no way fisher won 6 rounds you gotta give him a round he clearly lost to get there. who here had fisher winning?

For my money the decision wasn't controversial and wasn't a bad decision, I just happened to score it for Allen by a point.

Davies is an hysterical attention grabber

I think everyone agrees 1-4 was Fisher, 5 was 10-8 to Allen and 7-9 were for Allen.

The 2 rounds of debate are seemingly 6 and 10. I scored 10 to Fisher and 6 to Allen but thought they were both swing rounds.

When the fight finished I said to my mate ‘hmm…not sure…I thought Allen nicked it’.

I think there’s a difference with thinking someone else deserved it and calling the judges a disgrace. This one was the former I think.

so while we have started with the 'could have gone either way' stuff - anyone here score it for fisher then?? speak up :salut:

a decision where only 2 of the judges and the winning boxer's team had him winning sounds like a decision to not like

for me, there is no argument to give fisher any round from 5-9, maybe he gets the 10th to lose 95-94 or maybe that goes to allen for 96-93. it was not, however, a could go either way fight. close can still be clear and its right to call out the decision. poor judging, which of course benefited the house fighter as usual even though nearly all scored against him, should be hounded

I scored it as a close fight in terms of rounds, but it was an easy fight to score, and for me Allen definitely won.

So I have no issue with Davies scoring, any monkey could have done that.

However Fisher has a huge social media following and Davies has tried to be controversial to get some likes and followers.

The rounds were really clear. Very easy to score. The KD won it for Dave, simple as that.

Allen is just completely untrustworthy. Will say he's in good shape and had a great camp and then afterward will tell everyone how he didn't train and had a terrible camp. He is liable to quit as he has done before. The Darch fight which bookies noticed suspect betting patterns on and refused to pay out (and the fight looked very dodgy) also has to be taken into account. I hope Fisher wins so it's the end of Allen but a fight with Babic will be made after this I'd say.

Fisher is a poor operator but Allen has nothing. He would need to land something on the inside again but at range he will just be a punch bag as usual. It just took Fishers a few rounds to recover from the punch he got caught with and thats why Allen won rounds. Look at how bad Fisher was and how hurt he was and Allen couldn't put punches together. Anyone else would have flattened Fisher. Allen spent too much time being a sparring partner and just surviving rounds. All he has at range is a telegraphed wild right hand. It was comical how Nick Webb got KO'd from it. Even up close he doesn't have much but Fisher is just that bad that he got caught. Despite Fishers bad skills, he was too good to be getting caught with Allens wild swings at range and it was only Allens punch on the inside which caught him.

I think Fisher stops him.

It’s true that Allen isn’t at all reliable, but Fisher really isn’t that good himself.

I think we’ll get another long close fight but with less drama.

It was a valuable learning experience for Fisher. A hard ten rounder can move a fighter onto another level....and let's be honest this is English title level or I'd accept a British title eliminator.

I'm expecting improvement from Johnny in the rematch, although how impressive the performance will be remains to be seen. Fisher may look to box safe, limit danger and win big on points.

The biggest difference between the two is desire to win and Fisher has much more of that.

Should be a good fight, Fisher, on his team’s instructions, will be looking to box and get a points win or maybe late stoppage, but if Allen catches him it’ll likely turn into a brawl.

Good piece by Declan Warrington on the page before —- nice preview — and Jamie Moore is a pretty straight talking trainer, so I’m inclined to believe him when he says that Dave has actually been training properly for the first time here.

Fisher points is the pick - Not sure if his chin is okay or not, as that was a temple shot that put him over… seems like he’s a genuine puncher according to Jamie Moore, so that’s good news

I've a strong memory of watching it live and Allen coasting in the tenth round and feeling....he hasn't got this in the bag he needs this to be sure, and he coasted it 100% and has only himself to blame

Agree with what you say but Allen has psychological issues too and admitted in a recent interview that sometimes he gets in the ring just not wanting to be there, like the Clarke fight for example.

Id be surprised if Fisher didnt win this. Allen had his chance last time and stated afterwards that he wasnt fit enough to finish the job. Seems like Allen will always impede his potential to win by his own self-sabotage.
