How easy it is to forget these things. Yes, I remember this fight where Dubois was on the rebuild after Joyce and got his brain scrambled here. People eventually put it down to Dubois putting his ankle out or something, didn't they? I was never sold on that.

After Dubois beat AJ, plenty of people here were trying to anoint him number two in the division just behind Usyk, over Fury, which seemed crazy to me as the Lerena fight where Dubois looked awful was much fresher in my mind. For some reason I had Lerena as the cruiserweight who gave Parker a hard time after Joyce. But looking at the records, that was Jack Massey wasn't it?

I really took my eye off the ball with boxing for a few years. Certainly at a lower level.

People love to try to discredit Tyson. He was ready for the knackers yard after losing a split to Usyk apparently... Yet they rate Usyk as an all time great. It doesn't even make sense.

While I agree that fury shouldent of got as discarded as second class for his losses to usyk. The “split” though was pretty definitive, just like AJs “split”…. But I think it’s fury’s biggest achievement honestly.

Conversely, fury’s rise was beating a 39 year old who never won again… and then retired/served a doping ban…

Then his second rise was against wilder who honestly nearly no Brit’s rated and the trilogy only got hyped up because wilder vs fury 1 was close (which dosent actualy say wilder was good… it might well just say both were poor)…

Had fury just delt with wilder easily the first fight it actualy would have diminished fury’s legacey… fury getting knocked down in the 12th while clearly a career low light is somehow actualy Tyson fury’s defining moment which has lead to him being peoples universal number 2 even though he is retired and hasn’t beat a boxer in 2.5 years… go figure.

So I agree the “he is done” after losing to usyk is harsh. But That view is also very kind to him suggesting he was much much better at some other point in his career, even though there is little proof of that.

I didn't have it as a split either but, the first fight was very competitive. I was disappointed in the second fight, to be honest. I thought Greg Marriot's interview a couple of weeks ago on the subject was very interesting.

I just can’t see him gambling while he is still at least a slight chance at a fight with AJ, wilder or Parker… so if he does fight this card (which I don’t think he will) I expect someone really really bad….

Greg saying that Tyson was only at 60% is obviously complete nonsense. Also, he has a vested interest in Tyson carrying on.

I agree with his general point about just needing to get Tyson into the best possible shape, though. That is definitely the way to give him the best chance against Usyk. They didn't do it, though, and the whole team, including Greg, have to take their individual share of responsibility for that.

Read an interview with Wardley in The Times over the weekend and he really does come across as a great guy. Really hope he wins this and gets the chance to have a crack at a world title.

The undercard is pretty disappointing.
And I was really excited when Miller was the opponent for Wardley.
Not so much Huni, it could be a one or two round fight. But you never know.

I just looked at the whole card. Nothing too spectacular on there. A few semi interesting Heavyweight fights. A solid fight at 140. A debuting Olympian, and a few other Prospects.
