The daggers & back stabbers will always be there when DDD loses...and Dubois hasn't always helped himself in that regard.

DDD used to he more modest when he was coming through but he got a bit too full of himself prior to the Joe Joyce fight and The Juggernaut cut him down to size in humiliating fashion. Made him quit. A boxing "no no" for some.

Against Usyk in the rematch I think it was only a minor quit. Heavy knock down, senses scrambled and no chance of winning at all.

But how many fighters that appear to be losing turn it around and win. Especially someone who has one punch power like Dubois. It was an undisputed HW title fight too, he may never be in another one again.

It's firmly established that DDD is known for quitting, but he has never bailed at the first sign of trouble and the Hrgovic & Miller fights presented him with some tricky moments before prevailing.

It seems to be overlooked in the hurry to damn DDD that even in losing....the fights are entertaining.

I'll take Dubois over the likes of, say, Henry Akinwande or Johnny Nelson skirting around the ring and clutching for dear life as soon things get remotely competitive.

The levels thing is a problem. He turned pro at 26. He'd won the Olympics and competed in multiple European championships, a world cup and the WSOB. He had faced every stule out there in elite competition, often in hostile environments before he took off his vest. Itauma and Atang never had a senior bout.
