Andy is quite perplexing as he never seems knackered even though he is fat (I say this as a fellow fatty so no judgement). I think the appetite (boxing not crisps) has gone after winning all that money.

Hrgovic seems a logical next step and I think he is co-promoted by Queensberry, iirc someone confirmed it on here.

Brandon Moore: Moses Itauma has yet to be tested

Brandon Moore has his sights set on DeAndre Savage next and Moses Itauma in the future.

Moore faces Savage at Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit on September 19. The bout will be broadcast on DAZN.

Moore, 31, believes that Itauma’s first-round knockout of the faded former contender Dillian Whyte isn’t as impressive as it seems.

“You fight someone who is 37 years old, of course, you are going to beat the old man, unfortunately,” Moore, 18-1 (10 KOs), told Boxing Scene. “These English polite guys come get your ass whooped by an American heavyweight. He is fighting these slow English guys who are polite.”

“These guys are boring heavyweights,” Moore said. “They give me Klitschko vibes.”

Moore also believes Itauma, the 19-year-old with a record of 13-0 (11 KOs), has yet to be pushed, and is eager for the chance to do so.

“He hasn’t been tested, and I want to be that test,” Moore said. “I am ready to see what he is about.”

Moore, of Lakeland, Florida, began boxing as an adult. He admits he is still learning, but the former college basketball player has put his competitive drive into boxing. He entered the sport with a mindset of facing the most formidable fighters he could. Moore had strong words for Savage ahead of their bout.

“I am going to make this fight look real easy,” Moore said. “I want to be known for taking the hard fights. I take the best fights I can, and my resume proves it.”

Savage, 10-0 (10 KOs), is a big puncher who is looking to step up in competition. Savage, a 34-year-old from Flint, Michigan, has won all of his bouts by knockout, except for a September no-contest to KeShawn Jackson in his hometown. Moore credits his recent wins over Stanley Wright and Sklyar Lacy to the experience he gained in a loss to Richard Torrez Jnr last year.

“I have been fighting for seven years just gaining experience,” Moore said. “The Torrez fight really set me up to beat these last two undefeated fighters.”

Moore believes that if he keeps winning, a fight with Itauma will get made. He explained why.

“It is going to get made, because as long as I say I want it,” Moore said. “If he doesn’t take it, that means he is ducking the fight.”

North American heavyweights are lazy with no ambition. I bet this guy would love to talk himself into getting starched in a round for Saudi money and never fighting again.

Yeah, that really isn't how it works. It has to actually make more sense than any other fight for the guy you are calling out, for it to be ducking if he doesn't take it. If you bring little money and little prestige to the table, you're not being ducked, you are being ignored.

It honestly seems like all these fights will be online in some capacity within hours of them happening anyhow if you can't afford to pay for it, you can still easily catch it after the fact if you avoid spoilers.

Pulev's tough, but that's about it. His guard's always been too open and he'll get lit up in this one.

If Itauma really wants to challenge himself he should at least make Jalolov an offer. Or if he wants to go for a statement win, Torrez. Ajagba seems available if Wardley can't be made.

Or just give Ruiz two months to get less fat and see what he can do. Miller's right there...

Is it also to do with big promotors having exclusive broadcaster contracts?

The Furys fought very regularly on the way up.
Tyson fought 9 times in his first 12 months (he’d only been pro ten months when he fought McDermott). And Hughie fought 13 times.

But I’m guessing that’s partly down to being signed to Hennessy and him having lots of small hall cards for them to fight on and not minding them fighting on other promoters shows. Obviously different from Frank and Eddie.

pulev in his day was a good fighter, either world class or very good ebu level. but at this stage he will be another jelly legged quick knockover

franklin doesnt excite me, he has pretty much no wins of note, but at least he's shown durability and isnt old (albeit he's fat an inactive)
