What an awful state British boxing is in, if these two scrubs are fighting for the British title.
Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
There are like 10 heavies which are past British level, neither of them are prob in the top 10.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 09:08 What an awful state British boxing is in, if these two scrubs are fighting for the British title.

Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
Agree with this. The problem is that the British belt isn't appealing to them. Realistically, any of those who are not, or possibly never have been, world champion, European champion or British champion should be interested in being British champion. Is it unappealing because you'll be mandated a possibly tough opponent? Or because it restricts the possible opponents to being British?Coco wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 12:01There are like 10 heavies which are past British level, neither of them are prob in the top 10.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 09:08 What an awful state British boxing is in, if these two scrubs are fighting for the British title.

Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
clarke is behind allen now?
easily stopped dave and only beat by a guy who would mash dave up (plus drew with that guy wardley, now ranked world top 10-15 by some people, the first fight)
to me it just looks like a case of fighting at different levels. or is dave new and improved yet again

A lot of negativity on here, but I think it's a good matchup and it's on BBC.
Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
It's going to be a horrible fight, TKV is a mauling spoiler, difficult to look good against unless you chin him!keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 14:20 A lot of negativity on here, but I think it's a good matchup and it's on BBC.
Could be a good route back for Fraser, regular British title fights on the TV, won't be a lot of money, but enough, big exposure

They should be fighting for the British belt then. Any of Riakporhe, Okolie, Fury, Itauma fighting each other for it would be solid British level fights. Even David Adeleye I guess--he's a scrub, but he at least beat TKV.Coco wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 12:01There are like 10 heavies which are past British level, neither of them are prob in the top 10.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 09:08 What an awful state British boxing is in, if these two scrubs are fighting for the British title.

He didn't. It was a blatant foul whilst being comprehensively outboxed. He should have been disqualified.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 23:52They should be fighting for the British belt then. Agree with you there. He was struggling to deal with TKV's ugly style. Ridiculous that it wasn't a disqualification or no contest.mickey1975 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025, 03:52He didn't. Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
Adeleye will lose to anyone who understands that all he has is a left hook. TKV was well on his way to winning and only lost due to poor officiating, getting caught on the break. It signified TKVs level to even get himself caught like that in the first place. In my first ever sparring session, I did exactly what he did and the trainer stepped in and gave me a slap to the face and told me "Keep your hands up during breaks. He could easily hammer you and then say 'i didn't hear you ref'". Ever since then I was never caught on a break again. That's what you call good training.
If you watch Lennox Lewis fights, the first thing he does when it goes on the break is protect the back of his head. He was a sharp as a needle when it came to any kind of dirty tactics being done to him on the inside on breaks. I'd say Bowe would have found a way to get something off though

Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
Frazer Clarke admits he could have left Boxxer after Sky Sports deal ended
– Ben Shalom’s Boxxer and heavyweight Frazer Clarke are heading into a new era with broadcaster BBC Sport.
The promotional outfit’s lucrative deal with Sky Sports ended after the broadcaster chose not to renew their contract and it was unsure where Boxxer would head next. There had been rumors of them heading to TNT Sports or DAZN, but on August 8 it was announced that they had signed a deal with the BBC.
With blue sky thinking, the benefits from fighting on free-to-air television across the UK are huge, and Boxxer’s stars such as Clarke, Ben Whittaker, Lauren Price, Caroline Dubois and Adam Azim have the potential to become household names. The downside is that it is unlikely that the budget received from the BBC is anything close to what Boxxer enjoyed with Sky Sports.
“I loved being at Sky Sports. It was fantastic for me and my career, but to be honest, I'm a boxer, and I'd love to fight anywhere, on any platform,” Clarke told BS. “But to be with the BBC, obviously it's a great move for Boxxer and the company, so I'm really happy for everyone. They really work hard, and I'm glad for them going forward.”
It was reported that within the contracts of certain Boxxer stars there was a guarantee that their fights would be aired by Sky Sports, and thus, when the partnership with Sky came to an end, they could leave the promotional outfit.
“There's always a chance of that, it's professional boxing,” said Clarke. “But, listen, I'm in a good position. Boxxer have been really good to me over the years, through my pro career. I'm really thankful to them for everything they've done for me, and the future's massive for me. So, with them, as of now, we're doing what we're going to do, great things together. So, I’m looking forward to it.”
So, as per his contract, Clarke could have sought another promoter?
“Yeah, I mean, I suppose I could have,” he replied. “There's a lot of things that could have happened, but what's going to happen has happened. I just want to box. That's the most important thing, and if they're giving me the opportunity to do that, then that's the way it's going to be.”
There have been reports that the first fight to kick off Boxxer’s deal with BBC Sport will be the vacant British heavyweight title clash between Clarke and Jaime Tshikeva [TKV]. The fight has been rumored to be taking place on October 25 in Birmingham, England.
“I can't confirm or deny just yet, but me and Jamie [Tskekiva] are due to fight each other, and I'm sure we will,” said Clarke. “It'll be a great fight. I think if you keep your eyes and ears open in the next few days, you'll find out more.”
When asked what route his promotional stablemates would be taking, he was quick with his answer: “No idea, mate.”

Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
Clarke has gone up in my eyes with that approach as I’m sure Eddie would have signed him if only to spite Ben. I think he stops TKV as his pedigree is good. TKV for me is like a slightly better Nick Webb. And that’s a dig at either man.
Re: Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV | BBC - 25 October 2025
He can take on and beat a number of guys in the Brit top 15, I appreciate that it won't be a lot of money, but they will be good fights, might well make him a household name, which will make him money in the future.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 14:55 Clarke has gone up in my eyes with that approach as I’m sure Eddie would have signed him if only to spite Ben. A lot of the top 15 guys in Britain are waiting for a big payday that might not ever happen

He might need to get a move on, he is nearly 35 and I believe his speed is not quite what it was in the Am's.Coco wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 15:58He can take on and beat a number of guys in the Brit top 15, I appreciate that it won't be a lot of money, but they will be good fights, might well make him a household name, which will make him money in the future.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 14:55 Clarke has gone up in my eyes with that approach as I’m sure Eddie would have signed him if only to spite Ben. I agree there are a lot of guys he could beat still. Bit of a shame Fabio Wardley had his number and stalled his momentum somewhat.
