Terry C has done a really good analysis of AK and also the Crawford Canelo fight on the channel
In the past day well worth a listen.

Froch and Fury went from Hennessy because they earned a lot more money and had much more opportunities

I bet Clinton Woods would have earned far more elsewhere

It's all about money

Froch stayed with McCracken because he was the best man for the job, wasn't childish enough to blame others for his loss.

I reckon Davison gets a lot of work because he's cheaper, hardly any top level fighters pay their trainer 10%

I think the reason Naz left Ingle was because he was paying 35%

25% for the manager
10% for the trainer

Once you get to a certain level,ie elite world and the purses get to a few extra 00's the trainer's % become negotiable if the fighter is shrewd enough to have it put in a contract. I have no idea what the arrangement was between Clinton and Dennis Hobson. But they were a great team imo. Dennis did a great job with Clinton and in turn,Clinton delivered. I'd like to think they both were satisfied with the financial arrangement.

I do think part of it comes down to what type of person you are, Clinton was always a decent honest person.

Shiraz has to take the Canelo fight if offered, it's a 5m payday.

Whose best between Bud and Usyk? Who can say :maybe:

Regarding Hopey Price.... he is injured, he's had a nightmare two years and is heartbroken by it. It's not a secret and he's around pro and amateur shows all the time and will tell you all about it if asked!

Thank you for sharing that Mickey. I wish him the very best of health and recovery. Thanks for talking the time to clarify. A poignant reminder for us all not to freely speculate, me included.

No worries, I messaged Porky to tell him but he still runs with it. Don't get me wrong, I like Porky but he's blind on some things. I can pull records to bits just like him. Nobody ever asks him how Froch got the nod against Dirrel, or who has the most wins against reigning champions in their backyards, Fury or Froch? The reason David Price has less knockdowns than AJ and Tyson is because he always gets stopped! Fury has been down once in a fight he has lost! There's loads more.

Another one that winds me up- "Froch is the first English bloke to win a medal at the worlds". Yes, because Haye went further in the tournament!
