I remember that this move was later re-released as "RIPPED-OFF around 1975, when BARETTA became a big hit on TV.

BTW betcha didn't know that Ron O Neal aka SUPERFLY had made a (bare-knuckled)" boxing movie too.
( btw one of the people that the Hitter was fighting had fought Greg Page that same year-Ira Martin of Baltimore)

I never watched the 1st and 3rd Penetentiary movies, but that 2nd one was cheesy as all hell. In a pretty hilarious way.

I think my favorite part of the movie was when the commentator says "I BELIEVE!" Like 8 times in a row when rooting for the main character in the climactic battle.

And the Villain of the movie was a really, really bad villain. Makes Drago or Clubber Lang look like Choir Boys :lol:

as "Too Sweet" ?

Saw a movie years ago about Ray ( Boom Boom ) Mancini, can't remember it's title but was a decent watch,his father was a promising boxer but got injured in the war,thus ending his boxing days,Ray swore hed win the world title for his father

The Kid Chamaco starring Martin Sheen. Has Marco Antonio Barrera in it and other Mexican fighters. Shot in Mexico City using Barrerra’s gym.
