Re: Adam Smith
Please God someone tell me the pr*ck is not commentating on Saturday nights Saudi card..
The reason he’s with DAZN, after being fired from sky for being a degenerate gambler, is Eddie owes him for giving him the keys to the kingdom, when the bonehead was heading up sky boxing: locking everyone else out and letting the fox into the chicken coop.

To think we had Reg, both Jim's, Harry Carpenter and this is the 'A Star' we have. To be honest, not many good ones around today. A bit of a lost art.
He is on Buncey's level and below big Ron, for me, and that is saying something.
It’s true Ron does have his amusing foibles but he’s a genuine wordsmith and most of all he’s authentic …. that’s the real Ron we listen to.
With Smith we just listen to an extremely irritating cartoon character that he and his bosses have created

Ron is not fantastic and uses phrases like, 'Check Hook', which I can't stand, just call the punches correctly. However, he is good at reading a fighters body language, generally (ok he had no clue what had happened to Eubank, the other night), ie if a fighter takes a good shot and is a little buzzed or something, he tends to pick up on that....basically, stuff us boxing fans do.stujones wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 13:51Not for me, I like ron but for the wrong reasons. Smith really is pretty clueless when it comes to stuff like that and he has been involved in boxing for how long.....he is just a bit of a gimmick, growling, tossing out the same phrases, and can't call a fight at all.
Neither come anywhere near someone like Steve Holdsworth.
All that said, fair play, each to their own

All smith kept going on about during that main event last weekend was the bloody celebs ringside.
Production fūcked up as well because they kept showing them..
And then each time. Smith got an erection.
Was just repeating the same shit each round

Re: Adam Smith
Steve Holdsworth used to be good but the last few years he was awful. Clearly lost his interest for the sport. He commentated on a Danny Williams fight (when Danny was doing a tour of small Eastern European countries on a dodgy licence) and seemed genuinely shocked at Danny’s effort….citing “Mike Tyson “ and a non sanctioned win of Dominic Negus as a reason why Danny was still a contender!!!!NazNaci1 wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 15:12Ron is not fantastic and uses phrases like, 'Check Hook', which I can't stand, just call the punches correctly. There wasn’t a lot of appreciation for him. This post was halfway down the first page. That said, I couldn’t have put it better myself. Well said sir.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑09 Jun 2024, 12:31Agreed. He ruined fights with his annoying commentary again and again and I lost count of the times I had to mute it and miss out on the atmosphere. For me, I will always hate the pr*ck for that. He kept doing a job he was completely sh*t at and didn't seem to give two f*cks that he was ruining fights. He seemed drunk on his power as head of boxing and loved the commentary job and being a big shot. I have zero respect for him whatsoever. Yes he likes boxing and is a nice guy, this entire forum is full of chaps like that and we didn't get flown around the world on a hefty salary. Ruining boxing fights with his awful commentary. I'll never like the chap or give him any credit at all, sorry.
Re: Adam Smith

It's an insult to cockroaches.
