Unlucky Eggie, that's what you get for standing by a drug cheat.
Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Jesus, boxing, never change.
Anyway, if it's anywhere near right that "Benn’s deal is a one-fight, eight-figure deal, though neither White or Benn have confirmed." (https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/conor ... 53647.html) then I can't wait to find out how they intend to make that back. Eubank's gone and any champion at Benn's weight exposes him brutally.

One fight deal seems like Turki is behind it.
Just having Dana promote it, like he promoted Canelo-Bud.
He’s gonna fight around May/June time I believe.

Conor Benn signs with Zuffa Boxing
“I’m filled with excitement and hunger for what’s ahead with Zuffa Boxing,” Benn said in a statement. “I want the legacy fights, the biggest nights, the biggest stages. I fear no man at any weight, and I’m ready to give the fans the fights they’ve been calling for. I’m in my prime, and together we have bold, ambitious plans”
“The Destroyer” Benn (24-1, 14 KOs) is a second-generation star and welterweight contender who is coming off a unanimous decision win in a rematch against Chris Eubank Jr. in November.
Benn lost the first fight in an April barnbarner that was named The Ring’s 2025 Fight of the Year. Both fights took place at 160 pounds, but Benn plans on returning to 147 pounds for his next fight.
In recent weeks, the 29-year-old Brit has been looking to leverage his standing as the WBC’s No. 1 contender to face the winner of Saturday’s fight between WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia.
Benn has also called out the likes of WBO champion Devin Haney, WBA titleholder Rolando Romero and IBF champ Lewis Crocker.
“Conor Benn is an absolute beast and a superstar,” Zuffa Boxing and UFC frontman Dana White said in a statement. “He shows up every time and destroys people, and now some of the best fighters in the world are calling him out. He’s ready for a world title next and I can’t wait to see him compete in Zuffa Boxing. He’s going to be a huge addition to a growing stable of very talented boxers.”
Benn’s union with Zuffa Boxing marks another significant signing for the company. Last month, The Ring and IBF champion Jai Opetaia also signed a deal with Zuffa Boxing and will headline a show on March 8 against Brandon Glanton.
Zuffa Boxing debuted last month and has already staged three shows.

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Think Zuffa are playing the long game here there new belt / champs are going to need names and top names to fight for them . SO go find a big name on eveyones lips who also happens to have the morals and loyalty of a snake . Take this guy sign him , up ok its gonna cost them big money, but heh king tut tut knew this when he set out to be mr boxing so beeline mr disloyal Benn . Donate there new belt to cinnor with a easy win over some pudding getting a fortune to lose . THEN dangle the belt and a crack at benn in front of a decent champ pay decent champ a massive amount of money to have an easy fight against benn alls he has to do is sign a long term well paid contract . There gonna buy there way in smart move on there part .
There just lucky they found a snake with no loyalty. Beinterestingto see if Eddieshows he has some teeth and strts talking about eggsand handpicked fights now

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Well they've yet to sign a can't miss star, but they are swooping up a lot of the B list of Boxing. If they can ever get themselves an A lister for 'em to fight they'll be in business.
They already have Efe Ajagba for Jai Opetaia's inevitable Heavyweight debut sometime in the near future so that's a nice little matchup they have already in the backburner.

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
I don’t agree that Eddie’s the loser here
He took a punt on nothing other than a guy’s name, stood by him when he was proven to be a cheat in the hope of somehow salvaging his investment, and then steered him onto the sunlit uplands of two stadium fights from which Eddie would have profited massively.
Despite little Conor whoring himself around to seemingly every big fight and delivering his tiresome risible hard man schtik, no big fight deal has materialised. The numbers obviously don’t add up. He’s not a stadium fighter, he’s barely an arena fighter. Doesn’t have a belt, has never had a belt of any kind. All he has is his dad’s name. Yet I’m sure he’ll be demanding big money.
Maybe Eddie’s played a blinder and has got out at exactly the right time.

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
The Family Rivalry bouts of Benn vs Eubank was the high water mark for his career I believe. From here it's beating up journeymen, and losing title shots if he takes them.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑20 Feb 2026, 20:46 I don’t agree that Eddie’s the loser here

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Even with the quite shocking state of Jr in the rematch there was widespread talk of a rubber match. Maybe Eddie hung around long enough to ascertain whether a 3rd fight was possible and has now been made aware that it won’t happen.gilgamesh wrote: ↑20 Feb 2026, 21:23The Family Rivalry bouts of Benn vs Eubank was the high water mark for his career I believe. So then he has to tell Conor that any fight he has now won’t generate anything like the revenue of the Jr fights and therefore he has to adjust his purse expectations accordingly. Cue toys out of the pram from Conor and in steps Dana.
Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
I'm trying to think who Benn fights that can generate him AND the other fighter earning $10 million each.

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
No way on Earth Mayweather would fight a fighter under 40 years old in his comeback surely. I can't imagine it'd be anything except Mayweather vs Pac 2 for Half a Billion Dollars or something crazy like that.

If it's a 1 fight deal I bet Hearn has told him to go.
Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Zuffa surely isn't bothering with 1 fight deals I wouldn't think. They're trying to build a brand. They need guys for multiple fights or not at all.

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Conor Benn's Zuffa Boxing debut to take place in U.K. before end of May
Conor Benn’s move to Zuffa Boxing will not take him out of his home country.
Officials connected to the situation but unauthorized to speak publicly on the matter told BS Friday that England’s Benn, 24-1 (14 KOs), will participate in a major Zuffa Boxing card on a spring date in the U.K. by May 31.
Benn, 29, stunned the fight world Friday by leaving Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing on the heels of two lucrative bouts against countryman Chris Eubank Jnr, the second of which was won by Hall of Famer Nigel Benn’s son by unanimous decision in November.
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix placed the value of Benn’s one-fight Zuffa Boxing deal in excess of $10 million.
Benn is currently ranked No. 1 by the WBC, whose champion Mario Barrios defends his belt Saturday night against Ryan Garcia at T-Mobile Arena here.
Additionally, Benn has been in talks with WBA welterweight champion Rolly Romero, who hasn’t fought since his May 2025 unanimous-decision victory over Garcia.
Benn is ranked No. 4 by the WBA, and an official close to Romero has said they believe it’s possible that he will bypass unbeaten mandatory contender Shakhram Giyasov for a fight of great import, like Benn.

Looks like Zuffa are getting their UK license.
UK fight incoming. But against who?
They don’t have a UK TV deal yet. I’m guessing a one-off Sky PPV.

Also, why did Hearn lend Benn £100k’s+ during that time?
Surely his father has money?

Let him go, Benn is free agent good luck to him.
I see why EH is pissed.
I say keep doing what your doing.
Eat it and go home and put it down to the cost of doing business.

Re: Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing
Not a good look from Benn to only contact Hearn via a solicitor after everything Hearn done to support him and get him back and in big fights that he had no business in being in. Also a rookie error from Hearn, more surprised at him for letting himself get done over like a novice promoter. I bet Dana can’t believe it, he must be pissing himself.
