Hopie Price - The super prospect from Dave Coldwells gym last boxed October 2023. Jesus - you could recover from a heart and lung transplant in that time let alone a hand injury. So whats been going on?

Alan Babic - This fan favourite was obliterated by Johnny Fisher inside a round in July 2024. Soon be 2 years since we saw The Savage. Personally i liked watching him fight, he always guaranteed a tear up.

CBS - Been MIA almost a year now and barely heard a thing from him.
Hopey got some bone taken from his hip to fix his hand. It went wrong. His hip is a mess, balance, walking even.

Was looking at the IBF ranking and I think CBS is next in line so maybe hes waiting to see if he fights for a vacant title and maybe a stadium fight at cherries again.

I’m no doctor (obviously) but aren’t there safer ways to fix that sort of stuff? Especially for an athlete? Taking a bit of bone out of one place to fix another just seems like asking for trouble.

I don't know, but that's the story from boxing people close to him up here. People are gutted for him.

ive spent 40+ years in operating theatres. bone grafts to hands are often done to promote bone growth, strength and quicker healing and to help bone fusions. sounds like he has been one of the unlucky statistics. the donor site (normally iliac crest)can be painful and troublesome, but should heal in time and with good physio an dmobility. its the hand thats the key component for Hopey. I wish him well.

Ben Whittaker is quiet given that he's with Matchroom now.

Although I read something about them getting him on the Boots vs Ortiz card, so maybe they are waiting on the announcement of that. But feels like he needs another fight soon.

Do you mean Sokol? I can’t find anything online about Babic doing bareknuckle? I think he was talking of coming back to the pro ranks recently

Having said that Bareknuckle would probably suit Babic - yes he’s been chinned but is very aggressive and can punch

That is appalling that peptide is injectable only I like Okolie but he should be banned

Another “third party” excuse

Whatever happened to strict liability

Once again Hughie Fury will become inactive on Boxrec.

A few other inactive heavies too, Bakole, Zhang, Ajagba..
