To me, this one is much more worrying. A candidate who obviously knows naff all about his party's policies. It's staggering how unprepared he is, a would be MP.

Plus, who rocks up for an interview in an adidas t-shirt? Put a shirt and tie on man, at least make an effort to look the part.

Not really. Civil servants and senior people who work in these sectors would be, as they they do now. But, yeah, I know what you mean, the thought of having such people in power is chilling.

This reminds me of a thread a few weeks ago where I argued that professional politicians - whetever we think of them - will generally do a better job of running the country than big Dave off the tools. Ned had a right go at me saying if you can build a house you can be a politician (I might be exaggerating but along those lines).

Anyway, this guy has got to be Andy Burnham's biggest asset!

Leaving that aside, Reform would've been much better putting Matt Goodwin (their previous candidate) in against Burnham. He knows his stuff and comes over well whatever you think of his politics. Or even just a local solicitor or someone who can at least speak and look presentable.

Another things that pisses me off about this particular fella is his constant playing the working class card, he's a self employed gas safe heating engineer, the highest paid tradie there is, up north the going rate is £450 plus for a days graft, probably on more than most solicitors and accountants.

It's always been in the bag for Burnham despite what Fraymondo and the media were saying, which means Starmer is out by Christmas latest Plus the Manchester mayoralty will be up for grabs for Reform.
