Gonna be a presser.

I know they're announcing Williamson-Simpson rematch as well.

I'm guessing it will be broadcast deal information.

Troy Williamson vs Callum Simpson announcement?

I think the BBC deal is up for Boxxer, so maybe another TV outlet for them? Channel 5 or DAZN? Wouldn't think Dazn pay much per show though.

While that's not moving forward, it's tough to stand still, and this will keep things going.
Asim will need something bigger though

Maybe he is!
But then in the past when promoters have been stuck, deals were done with Ch5, FW started allegedly.
Without a TV deal, promoters are nowhere

Didn’t ‘Dave’ actually broadcast a handful of shows a few years ago? With Jamie Moore as a co-commentator and they were drinking beer during the show? Or was that some fever dream I had?

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that. Although that’s definitely not what I was thinking of, I was only remembering some fairly minor small hall shows, nothing big like a Haye show. Might not have even been Dave now I think more about it, maybe Bravo? Was def some very random channel anyway.

After a bit of googling, looks like I was vaguely remembering “ Fish, Chips and Scraps” which was on Spike tv (seemingly related to Channel 5). We had a thread on here from 2015 utterly slating it

Adam Azim is going to be with Zuffa soon imo

Lauren Price will then be the biggest star on the roster

Apparently it won’t affect any Boxxer shows on BBC.

So are they gonna keep showing fights on Beeb

What shows are those?

I think if they still had a BBC deal, that would have been front and center - "Boxxer adds DAZN alongside BBC" etc

Simpson vs Troy 1 was a BBC fight yet somehow the rematch is now on DAZN?

Probably the line will be "yeah it made business sense" - as if DAZN paying loads for this fight lol

But wait, the BBC made business sense didn't it, by building household stars on the nations biggest TV platform? But now Simpson will fight a dark match on the nations least watched sports app

Make it make sense

Also I like how they've announced "multi fight" deal and then you read the details and it's one agreed event (Simpson) and then the theoretical promise of "a major ppv" in the future.

Which of their global superstars will this "major ppv" feature?

Based on recent crowd attendances, they've hardly got anyone who can sell a ticket. Simpson and Price are the only two.

Simpson isn't ppv. Is Price the promised "major ppv star"? Are people going to pay hard money to watch Lauren Price Vs, idk, Mayer?

Eubank Jr could also maybe be the mystery ppv but he is showing all signs of dropping the boxxer "partnership" ,having recently publicly declared himself a free agent.

So again it seems there is another announcement which on further examination offers little substance.

It’s a shame they’re on DAZN. Pretty much the only boxing shows getting any kind of viewing figures will be the ones on Sky. I worry about the sport going forward & the lack of viewers

Any rising talent now will head to Sky

And if for some reason you were going to sign for a dazn promotion, it wouldn't be boxxer, you'd go for MR or QB or TR

So in addition to being a sort of big nothing, this move also serves as a killer of talent pipeline
