Do you really believe that? Why not Ruiz 2 over here for the fans? Why not exercise the Dubois rematch clause to put ot right for the fans? No, I think he does, I just don't get why it's a deal breaker when his last two fights have been in Saudi and America. I don't think Fury cares where it is. I think it gives team AJ time to think, which is very wise.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑13 Aug 2026, 17:03Do you think Anthony Joshua doesn't want the fight in England?mickey1975 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2026, 16:46Do you really believe that? As usual, it’s the fans and journalists who care the most. Doubt either fighter really gives a toss where it is, long as they get the megabucks. It’s not really like either of them have a ‘fortress’-esque home venue anyway.
I just don’t want a super late ringwalk as I’m too old for that now, probably take me longer to recover from a late night than it would take Fury & AJ to recover from the actual fight.

If he feels that strongly about it, I guess he's entitled to. Hearn was saying he was open to renegotiations before the Prenga fight, though... I don't really care, mate. I think he's been superbly promoted from the amateurs and if they can exit without getting plastered by his biggest rival and claiming the moral victory in the process then his team have done amazing, again.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑13 Aug 2026, 17:13But you think he's backing out if he sticks to his guns/contract?mickey1975 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2026, 17:11No, I think he does, I just don't get why it's a deal breaker when his last two fights have been in Saudi and America. Course it's true , Fury/Joshua is one of the biggest all British fights of all time, you don't need me to tell you why Andy Ruiz doesn't compare and tbh Dubois doesn't come close either, as I've mentioned it doesn't really bother me either way because I won't be going but it doesn't take Einstein to work out why the Brits would be furious if it happens in America because of Netflixmickey1975 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2026, 16:46Do you really believe that? Its like Eubank/Benn happening outside England, people would be livid but nobody's caring too much if they fought Wharton or Watson abroad, Fury/AJ is a one off, well passed it's sell by date but like Mayweather/Pacquiao it's still one of the biggest in boxing and it was always expected to happen in England but you know all this, your a knowledgeable poster Mickey but I don't know why you continuesly pander to Fury's behaviour, if AJ was doing this and Fury was trying to do the right thing for UK fans, nobody on here believes you'd be justifying Joshua's behaviour

It’s also interesting how many are appalled at the thought of a contract changing. When Fury was legally bound by a court to face Wilder for a third time, everyone on here screamed duck! The only people to blame in this are Turki and Netflix for not doing their deals properly. Do. You think both would take half the money to do it on a Queensbury, Goldstar and Matchroom show? Would they fuk.

He’s always banging on about him, because he knows it translates to millions.
At least AJ has his own mind and will say no to Turki. Look at that spectacle ringside not long after AJ’s accident when they were both goading him to get in the ring.

The backlash since it was announced turki and Netflix suggests the onus is on both fighters to dig their heels here, I wouldn't even blame Eddie or Frank, Fury and Joshua call the shotsmickey1975 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2026, 02:35But Fury isn’t doing anything! He probably had no plans that day and wanted to scout the opposition ringside. He wanted Fury to have his moment in the ring post fight. and according to everyone, I don't believe Joshua had actually signed his contract at that time.mickey1975 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2026, 05:22Tyson has always been about the money. No. He probably didn't want to go in the first place. He only usually turns up at boxing when it's got Turki's involvement. As if it's contracted or something. He's a complex guy anyway. I said that after the Louis Theroux interview and he's been through a lot since then, in and out of the ring.joshj909 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2026, 05:36Do you think Joshua changed his mind because he was intimidated by Fury's performance against Makhmudov?mickey1975 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2026, 05:22Tyson has always been about the money. Fury-Joshua saga frustrates Dana White
Dana White is lookin' for a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
But getting the deal across the finish line has been a knock-down-drag-out war on the negotiations table.
Fury and Joshua have finally agreed to meet in a "Battle of Britain" that would feature former heavyweight champions from the United Kingdom.
Now, the only question that remains is exactly where and when the fight will take place.
Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn is insisting the fight should take place in the UK, as they've originally signed on for, he's stated.
White, the frontman for Zuffa Boxing and UFC, as well as other involved parties, have had other ideas, including bringing the mega fight to the United States.
"Listen, this saga, we'll see how this whole thing plays out. I mean they either want to fight, or they don't. I don't know," White said on Saturday during the UFC 330 post-fight press conference in Philadelphia.
"We did the television and venue deal."
When White was asked if the fight will take place in New York, he said:
"We'll see. Listen, to make a fight, two guys have to want to fight – period, end of story. Contracts, and this and that – there's a lot of money for grabs in this fight. Do you want to fight? or not? I don't give a s*** one way or the other. It's up to them."
White was then asked if he'd be happy to stage the fight in the UK.
"Yeah, listen, I don't give a s***. The fight should have happened 10 years ago. Is it going to happen now? We'll see."
Last month, White blasted the tune-up concept that preceded the planned pitting after Joshua (30-4, 26 KOs) survived a serious scare against Kristian Prenga, getting knocked down twice in the first round before rebounding to knock out Prenga in the second round in Saudi Arabia.
On the previous day, Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) stopped Mariusz Wach in seven rounds in Thailand.
