Wladimir Klitschko is. He's a guy who showed on at least a few occasions this same sorta issue, and then at a certain point never showed it again.

Seek out either him or people who worked with him I'd say.

Unfortunately the true Mastermind of Wlad's style change Emanuel Steward is no longer with us, but still lessons could be learned working with his former team I'd think.
I should have added Emmanuel. :OhYes: Unless the loss destroys him mentally, he should be back. He sure as hell wasn't given a boxing lesson or pulled a Bobick vs Norton/Tate.
It certainly shouldn't destroy him mentally. He's not the first person to ever punch himself out, and he won't be the last. He also wouldn't be the first person to learn how to pace himself better, and have better control over his stamina. I would think almost any Experienced Pro at some point has felt an energy deficit in a fight that they needed to correct.

Not many have experienced the complete stamina failure that he has, but he was fighting at a pretty busy pace to be fair. He was connecting so often that I think he just took for granted he could get the guy out of there.

I saw an interview with Shane Fury earlier and he said Moses told him that he doesn't even enjoy boxing

Whenever I hear someone speaking in that dumb roadman accent I just think of Ali G.

He's young, he can come again.

He's not a bad fighter; he's got good fundamentals, he's got searing speed, good power and on the evidence of last night, a massive heart.

He beat himself with poor tactics and I have to ask what his trainer was doing?

The manner of his defeat was reminiscent of David Haye v Carl Thompson, Haye similarly shot his load early and emptied his tank, because he mistakenly thought that a plan B wasn't required, because the old man in front of him would fall the first time he landed a decent combination.

He gets a pass from me in that regard as he’s a young lad. Anybody older than mid 20s talking like that needs to have a long hard look in the mirror. One of the Sky football comms has that accent, the guy must be 40 yrs old

Get a real trainer, work with him for a few months (McGuigan? I’ve seen some people throw up Adam Boothe but I’m not so sure… Boothe is all about the fast twitch muscle explosive power stuff, which Moses already has: it’s ring nous and stamina that Moses needs to work on)

Come back against a Nelson Hysa type.

Win the EUROPEAN title. How about that?

Then work his way back into a mandatory position. He can win a world title but stop with all of the hype and all of the stupid pressure put on the kid. This loss might be the best thing ever for him: I’m sure lots of other people have said this but I see this as a David Haye vs Carl Thompson type situation. Get back in the gym, graft and there’s still every possibility he can end up top of the heap.

Please God NO IMMEDIATE REMATCH!
McCracken ? Old school, won’t indulge a gym full of hangers on and being based outside of London might help Moses avoid distractions

That's how youngsters talk these days, I'm afraid. When they're all middle-aged like us they'll be cringing at the way the youngsters are all taking, just the same way our parents despaired of us and theirs of them.

Gen Alpha are already pretty annoying with all this 67 and Skibadee bollocks. Just wait until they're all rokkering as grown-ups :OhYes:

Forgive me of my ignorance here but is McKracken actually coaching any pros at the moment?

He should be able to come back, he didn't take a huge beating and his stamina problem seems fixable. To me he has never really looked fit. For a 21 year old professional athlete he looks soft as hell. If it's true that he doesn't run much and doesn't spar 12 rounds then the fix is obvious. I would be more worried if he looked like prime Holyfield and still gassed.

Don't reinvent the wheel.
Do it the time tested way.
I really don't know why Fwank didn't this time.
British then defend it.
So at least if you don't succeed at world level you have something really nice to keep.
Then try intercontinental, then an eliminator, then a title.
All these steps prepare a fighter for increasing levels of opponent and pressure.
Putting Moses in a world title fight with a seasoned pro was reckless. Even Mike Tyson fought a lot in a short time to build up for a world title and he was a lot better

to me it's kind of similar to the Parker-Joyce fight, albeit Parker gassed in the 11th. he'd thrown everything at Joyce and was empty.

Yeah, Tyson had 27 fights when he fought Berbick and that included several fights that went 10 rounds. More amateur experience also.

Hopefully he learned something and comes back stronger and fitter
A loss like that (defeat from the arms of victory) tests the metal. He was trying right at the end even though he was done on his feet. Showed courage and a reasonable chin.
Guys like that come back from a loss with a bit of spite :bag:
Hopefully Itauma does too

Hmm, disagree there old sport. My parents generation didn't despair over how my generation spoke. We spoke the same accent they did. The uniform London-Jamaican inflection is very much a 21st century creation. Ali G was like the genesis. He was a joke but now all the youth speak like him (or a sizeable chunk of them anyway).

Parker barely won a round in that fight aside from the first and Joyce landed more and better punches throughout the whole fight.

I like the Vitali-Sanders and Lemieux-Rubio comparisons better.

Moses has gone from 7 fights in his first year, 4 in his second, 2 in 2025 and so far only 2 in 2026
