I think there is a logic mistake thinking that any US president or any head of state of any other nation was going to affect the Israeli response to the Hamas attack. Israel has been dehumanizing Palestinians for decades. There was only one thing that was going to happen, and that was not an eye for an eye, but a 100 eyes for an eye.
