Yeah I would be absolutely amazed if the rematch happened any time soon. Whittaker will drop back down a level for a few fights, under the guise of regaining sharpness after the 'injury' and will be praying Cameron loses at some point in the interim.

Swerving the immediate rematch (which they are 100% going to try and do) will do damage to Whittakers reputation, much like Clarke had his reputation badly damaged by the purse bids fiasco.

He's beaten the bloke who beat the bloke who won the last scheduled Central Area Light Heavy belt. That's about his ceiling now. If he do a Dave Allen, get a couple of mid level wins then bow out on the undercard of a big bill that's be a nice end.

What did he fail in?
Twice for cocaine. He never mentions he had failed once before the test he is known for failing. His promoter Hobson speaks openly about it. And his wife got sent down for drug dealing.
Good, keep the same energy for Joseph Parker, Tyson Fury, Canelo, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson, Ali and your other favorite fighters too. Not that they'd ever get banned for four years.
I don't care about fighters doing coke. It's not performance enhancing, well not unless you're using it during the fight and I've never seen a cornerman holding up a CD case and a rolled-up 20 to a fighter between rounds. A coke habit will screw up your ability to fight, not enhance it. So I think his ban was harsh.
Regarding 'Liam Cameron Appreciation' I can't say the public persona he adopted following his controversial first fight with Quittiker endeared him to me very much.
You can film him shopping in Aldi and interview him sitting outside next to fly-tipped mattresses and fridges all you like going on about how salt of the earth he is. We all saw his first purchases were a hair-replacement operation and a mouth full of gold teeth, who doesn't exactly scream down-to-earth Man of the People.
