But he's pushing his chin too much.

It was obvious that Wardley was inept but where else was he going to go. He made a good purse at least. He is going to be taking a shellacking against most opponents until he gets lucky with a windmill punch so he might as well take the biggest fight and get paid the most he can.
Held to a draw by Fraser Clarke too, I can't forget the Usyk 2 loss when he went up to that levelkeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑18 Oct 2026, 08:23 Talk about 'you're only as good as your last fight'. The way I remember it, Dubois was untroubled by anything Hrg threw at him, and was giving the big lump something of a hiding at the end.
after he'd headbutted him and cut his face open, but was still behind on the card. and Hrg still claims he was ill going into the fight too
There was a lot of bleating about Dubois’ head after that fight, he landed 2-3 at best, some folk didn’t seem to appreciate Dubois getting his chin to safety over Hrg’s shoulder, and any head contact in the clinch became a headbutt. It was and still is way exaggerated.golden_labrador wrote: ↑18 Oct 2026, 13:12after he'd headbutted him and cut his face open, but was still behind on the card. and Hrg still claims he was ill going into the fight too
Moses Itauma has confirmed he’s sticking with Davidson moving forwards.
Who is paying RJJ? And why?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑17 Oct 2026, 14:54They’re definitely paying Jones just to turn up on the night. Curtis is terrible. No way Jones doesn’t realise he’s poor. Not sure why RJJ is investing time into him. All the fluffy boots n trunks crap yet the basic skill of keeping your chin down has gone AWOL. He is a KO waiting to happen when he gets in with a mediocre puncher.
Simply not physically right to be a high level pro boxer. Reminds me of a Temu Martin Concepción

Well he’s not THAT bad but considering the hype he’s well short. I think he was flagged as a super talent as a kid, but he just doesn’t seem to have taken to the pro game against adults. He gets caught a lot.Taansend wrote: ↑18 Oct 2026, 23:34Who is paying RJJ? And why?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑17 Oct 2026, 14:54They’re definitely paying Jones just to turn up on the night. The Curtis story is interesting. The kid turned pro in Mexico at 16 then fought in Dubai & Thailand before coming home to the UK.
So if he is so bad, who is the money behind him?
I wonder if that accounts for the extra weight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Oct 2026, 07:46 Fabio Wardley admits preparation for Daniel Dubois rematch 'wasn't ideal'
Following a brutal and one-sided rematch loss to Daniel Dubois, Fabio Wardley immediately voiced his desire to fight again while admitting his preparation this time “wasn’t ideal”.
The contest came five months after their hellacious first encounter in which Dubois, after being dropped twice in the opening three rounds, steadily pounded the resistance from his rival. The beating Wardley took back then – bloodied and bruised, he was unsteady on his feet for several rounds before the end came in the 11th – left many questioning if an immediate rematch was the right thing for Wardley to do.
Wardley, however, was determined to regain the WBO heavyweight title he’d lost. Financially, too, it would have made sense.
Dubois won the return in two rounds, dropping Wardley inside the first 20 seconds and administering a patient but clinical beating upon his rival. It was Wardley’s second consecutive defeat following a gruelling run of bouts that saw him come from behind to beat Justis Huni and Joseph Parker, after engaging in a hellacious back-and-forth 12-round draw with Frazer Clarke.
“You can really shorten it and say the preparation for me wasn’t ideal and Daniel learned the most from the first fight and came out with a better game plan,” Wardley, 20-2-1 (19 KOs), told DAZN as he made his way from the ring to the dressing room.
“That’s all it was if you want to boil it down to the nitty-gritties.
“But there’s time for that later when we go over it as a team, we sit down, and we go over the details of what happened.”
For Dubois, it’s onwards and upwards. The defeats to Joe Joyce and Oleksandr Usyk (twice) appear to have served as crucial education. As well as the two victories over Wardley, he can also boast stoppages of Anthony Joshua and Filip Hrgovic.
Wardley can take encouragement from that.
“Right now, I lost,” he said. “It is what it is. Daniel’s a testament to losing and coming back and winning the world title for a second time.
“I will be looking to do the same thing.”
