So John Lewis released their annual woke DEI Christmas Ad (they allowed to call it Christmas? Maybe just call it festive ad)
And it seems like it has sadly backfired, it features an old white British granny that can't get a hug off her black grandchildren because they're obnoxious spoiled brats that instead want to wreck her furniture. So... she goes to John Lewis and buys stuff to decorate a whole room in her mansion to please them instead - seems to have gone down like a lead balloon

Brother. How sad is your life that you get this wound up over a goddamn commercial.
Beat me too it, what a sad life.
As opposed to your daily commentary on US politics sitting in your mum's terraced house somewhere in Stretford or Gorton or something, as if anyone gives a flying fvck about anything you've ever had to say
Anyone back on topic thanks, this thread is for panning John Lewis woke Christmas ad. Why didn't her grandkids just go and loot the shop?

I don't live in Gorton, Blur wrote a song about my house

You just gonna leave him wasting away on the Streets of Philadelphia?
I'm drunk and in a mood to make everything musical
Well in that case you should watch the ad in question, it starts off with the original "Can't always get what you want" by the Rolling Stones, which is a great tune (Used loads by Trump in the past too) - unfortunately it descends into some whiny crap cover version of it though (that's part of the DNA of these awful woke festive ads, it must feature a stripped back cover version).

Ah the traditional Ricky complaining about woke Xmas ads. Just need Carlos’s annual panettone thread and we’ll be fully in the Boxrec festive season
Ngl I'm a bit disappointed with this year's woke shite, I was braced for a black gay gender fluid santa, but I'll make do with this car crash of an ad.

Bit early for the pannetone thread at the moment but like Santa - it will be appearing nearer the date!

When they make these DEI adverts how come only some races make the cut and not others? Like this one for example we have an African male as the dad and mixed race children, white mother and granny.... isn't that excluding the Chinese (a great bunch of lads)? Where's the arabs? Could casting agent not had some kind of arab plumber in the background fixing some U bend or sink trap?
And what about inuit people? How come they never get a look in.... especially at Christmas. Surely when she goes to the shop the cashier could have been an Eskimo?
Do some races simply have less sway in the world of corporate wokeism?

You should read more books and switch off the tv. Can’t remember the last time I even saw an advert.

Like Carlos, I love me some Panettone. Tre Marie is quite good.
