This was awesome. There is hope. So many place where the Democrats won where they had not in awhile.

Iowa has been as red as you can get. Both Senators are Republicans. All 4 members of the House. The Governor is Republican as well.
Well, the Senate race that was open went to a Democrat. The Governor race was won by a Democrat. 3 of the 4 House races were won by Democrats.

Orangie came to Iowa on Sunday to save the Senate Race for Ashley Hinson. She was then only 1 point in polls. After Trump campaigned for her, she lost by 4 points!

Races in places like Kansas, Texas went to Democrats.
The Mississippi Senate Race has still not been decided yet!

People have had enough of our lunatic President. :TU:

Mississippi will likely go Dem. Most outstanding votes are in Jackson.

Good news for social justice, bad news for all the Islamophobic bigots.
I mean I'm glad a Democrat won the seat in Michigan. I personally wouldn't vote for a Muslim, but I hope the guy does a good job just the same, and maybe he'll change my mind on that kinda thinking if he does. I doubt it, but you can never say never.

Quoting Dylan to me quite ironic.

Your enemy?

Bob Dylan would never support genocide, like you do. He would never say "well, they dropped leaflets before killing the children." So does that make him your enemy?

Bob Dylan is a a musical hero of Tony and myself. We don't know his Political opinion on Gaza because he'd never give it, and if you knew Dylan like me and Tony know Dylan you'd know that.

A Latino woman becomes Governor of Texas. A Black woman becomes Governor of Georgia.

Never could've expected results that good for the Dems honestly. If those 2 women do their jobs well it could have a ginormous impact for the future. Lot of weight on their shoulders. Good luck to them.

I did a search, and it turns out you are correct.

Because Dylan had opposed bigotry and racism in the past, I mistakenly believed he would disapprove of the war crimes in Gaza.

But at least he has never said he supports it either. Unlike Tony, he wouldn't say "it's not genocide because they dropped leaflets."

The old threads are gone, but I'm sure some of the posters here remember Tony in fact DID say that.

I don't think anyone expected a Democratic Senator in Kansas. They hadn't elected one since 1932. Babe Ruth was playing for the Yankees back then.

It all started with the Ossoff win and went downhill quickly for the Republicans thereafter. it was a beautiful watch last night.

Greg Abbott losing his Governorship in Texas was also a thing of beauty.

For Hegseth, maybe 10-15% chance, although even then I doubt it as most of the centrist Republicans who might have gone for it are gonna be gone.
The only thing standing in the way of Trump and impeachment is Todd Blanche. As soon as the Dems take over the Judical committee, Epstein is going to be the focus. Blanche is the only thing stopping the truth from coming out. And if the dam bursts and there's lots of pictures of Trump with young girls and testimony that he raped them, then I think not even the Republican holdouts will stand for him. Given the political headwind, I think they'll be more than happy to throw him under the bus and let JD Vance get two years job training as president in a lead up to 2028 than sticking with the demented old nappy crapping Trump.

But Todd Blanche is a hell of an opponent. Pure evil.
I really don't think any of that evidence exists. Not that Trump hasn't almost certainly committed 1 or more sexual assaults in his lifetime, but I don't think there's some trove of hard evidence that proves it just sitting around, and barring that I don't think there's a chance in hell you're finding 12 Republican senators to remove him.

Infidels is actually one of the albums that really sealed my Dylan fandom.

For years all I had was The Essential Bob Dylan. I eventually over time came to love all 30 songs on that collection, and I branched out into his other albums. Firstly Hwy 61 and Blood on the Tracks. I sat on those albums for a long time because I liked 'em a lot, but eventually decided I'd take a stab at some of his lesser known albums so I got Infidels, Oh Mercy and Time Out of Mind.

Infidels was supposed to be just one of his whatever albums in a long, long catalogue of music, but I found myself quite captivated with it, and loved about 5 of the tracks on this unheralded album. It was soon after that that I started listening all of Bob's sh*t.

A bit of Expecting Rain over here on Boxrec :OhYes:

Frankly this is a better conversation Tony. We should talk Dylan

Yeah. Abbott lead the AG charge to stop certification in other Democrat states and he's a RINO? How many people have whored their life away at the temple of Trump. Crazy.
