Khan-I want Watson.

Post by emma »

Amir Khan may be talking titles at the moment - but there's one fight he wants more than any other, and there doesn't have to be a championship in sight.

When he was still an amateur, Khan was dropped heavily by Craig Watson in the ABAs before rallying to win in style.

And now he says he wants the Mancunian, who has moved to 7-0 as a professional, to reassert his superiority.

"He's living off that knockdown, and I would love to fight him again," said Khan, who boxes over eight rounds on February 17 at Wembley Arena.

"The offer is there."

Promoter allegedly added: "I would make that fight in a heart beat.

"Instead of talking to the press, why doesn't he pick up the phone and talk to me instead.

"I will get the fight on immediately. If he wants to, Watson can be the opponent on February 17."

Earlier this month Watson told Britishboxing.net: "I want a rematch more than anything.

"But I don't think he'd take it to be honest, I think I'm too strong for him and the people he's fighting have never knocked anyone out in their career or they've been super featherweights and I really think if he gave me a chance that would be his first serious test."

Yes watson can hit.

He is bigger than lightweight.

Research before you post something stupid. Are you a staff at BritishBoxing.net? now that's embarrassing

TheRock is a big Amir fan so hence defending this nature of opponent! :TU: I feel Khan is merely looking to avenge the embarrassment of getting knocked down by this man in the amateurs.

 Aye, did you guess that. Thing is with Amir is that he is a good young fighter but he's getting made out to be something he aint. If Warren really believed that he was that good he wouldn't have fed him blown up feathers that couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper poke. The kid even believes the hype with classis lines such as "in another 4 or5 fights I'll fight for a big title" not fogetting his great blooper in his last fight "that proves now that I can take a punch", of course this was against a guy with no KOS on his record what so ever. Head in the clouds that boy, that's my opinion of course :TU:
