I've brought this point up already - It's a shocking card, and 'frankly speaking' it's deplorable.

Quite funny considering a certain SN peon has been on here qouting heresay about a certain Ray Hatton taking the general public for mugs.

Only potential fight worth a decent bet on, given Calzaghe and the rest of the bouts would offer terrible betting sense for the average punter.

I think 11/10 on under 7.5 rounds is not a bad one to have as part of an accy. Always dodgy betting on Calzaghe KOs though, due to the hand problems.

Well my money is going on Calzaghe by points @ 7/2.....I don't know why there is all this shit surrounding the fight that Joe is going to batter Manfredo and stop him.

1. Manfredo has never been stopped

2. Calzaghe has stopped one opponent in 3 yrs

3. Salem, Ashira & Bika all went the distance so why can't Manfredo?

7/2 is pretty tempting. I would urge a bit of caution on the comparason to past opponents though. Salem and Bika are both tough bastards and Salem in particular had gone the distance with some decent SMW fighters before fighting Calzaghe, I still consdier Manfredo's chin to be pretty untested at 168. As for Ashira it's another fight were Joe claims he broke his hand half way through and boxed for a points win. Whether he did or not I don't know but he did seem to be in some discomfort.

I do agree that 7/2 is decent odds though.

Have got money on Enzo scoring a first round KO at 7/1 and a smaller amount on a 2nd round stoppage. Was worried about Enzo carrying him for a bit but having seen Gunn and hear him speak I think he may try and rush him McNeeley style and end up getting smashed

Yes, isn't a great bill and I was a little surprised at how BM were hyping it as an impressive bill.

You could add Pryce's commonwealth title fight in the same bracket as an on paper mis match.

BTW, some interesting odds there.

I did expect to see Corrales open as a slight favourite vs Clottey - he's not, I think thats a little tempting.

Jermain Taylor hasn't really been an impressive champion thus far, I think I give Spinks a better chance than Ouma - so the 11/2 odds isn't bad.

I think Branco should be the favourite over Drews - so good odds here for Silivno 58/19. Decent odds for Castillejo to repeat his quite brutal success over Sturm. I do think Sturm will get revenge, but wouldn't lay any money on it.

Frietais at 11/4 vs the Baby Bull is a bit tempting, although I do favour Diaz.

Who knows how much Vitali has left at his age and with his injury problems. I think the odds for Maskaev are a little tempting.

I'd make Hopkins the favourite vs Wright so even odds are tempting for the Executioner.

I would say that even at 3/10 on, that is tempting to put your money on Hill. He beat Maske at a canter last time and with 10 years of inactivity I cannot see how Hill will do any different. Although, he might need a KO.

It was 8/1 for a couple of days (laid only a tenner stupidly!) but after a post here and assuumingly loads of bets of round 1 and 2, the odds halved...

The Calzaghe-Manfredo and Enzo-Gunn fights annoy the shit out of me, April 7th has to be the most one-sided World championship bill in the history of boxing

Enzo-Haye almost gets made (until Warren insists on options and the right to bone Hayes immediate family), but what replacement do we get to replace this British superfight.....Bobby Gunn whos biggest win was against Shannon Landberg, who got sparked by a 49 year old in his previous fight (admittedly it was Thomas Hitman Hearns).

Kessler and Froch especially have been calling out Calzaghe, either fight would be awesome, but Calzaghes fighting Manfredo instead.

These 2 fights symbolise everything that is wrong with the sport, any non-casual fan who is going to this bill needs to take a long hard look at themselves
