I didn't really intend the comment to provoke any abuse or anger but I have travelled quite a bit of the world (admittedly not Africa), South America, Asia, Europe etc and a large part of the world drive like freaking lunatics, it's scary. No I understand what you're saying but 'Africa' is a big old place to make general statements about! But you're right, bad driving is in a hell of a lot of places (including the UK).
There is an article on some Namibian site about it and it looks like they conducted an investigation with experts, etc, that seemed equitable with what would happen over here leading me to think his actions weren't that usual there, at least.
