Manila's crime rate went right down last Sunday as most of the 82 million Filipinos were glued to their television and radio sets to watch Manny Pacquiao, the police said.
The Philippines National Police Headquarters said incidents of crime that day dropped significantly compared with statistics culled from previous weekends.
"According to the reports we received, only 24 incidents occurred last Sunday," said officer in charge Ricardo de Leon.
Not bad for a city the size of Manila.

I thought it was his mothers maiden name? Am I wrong, did I imagine this?
Barrera has had Tapia on his shorts for as long as I can remember. I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with Johnny. Rawling really aint so hot as a commentator although he did do a great job of Toney v Jirov (mainly because he could recognise all of Toney's short damaging shots inside unlike certain other "experts").

Speaking of that "Tapia" waistband, imagine how terribly confusing it must have been for casual beeb-boxing fans last year when Johnny and Marco where having their 12 round tussle. Shouldn't have been allowed really.

Many (if not most) people from Mexico, Central & South America have native blood in them. By all accounts, the natives of those regions came over from Asia around 15,000 years ago.

Yes Tapia is a family name, not related to Johnny T - plus it was Jim Neilly(?) talking boll**ks as usual wasn't it? Not Rawling...

He got it wrong when Barrera slipped to the canvas early as well - and that was after watching a slow-mo replay!
Best Duke could come up with was "That slip was premature"

WTF??!!

When I was in Meyheeko last year the Mayans looked a bit like this, I fancy Barerra may have a bit of Mayan in him.
