Credit to McDonagh the guy is tough , but he is quite limited and has no punch whatsoever .

The judges had McDonagh winning on the score cards, he never had a mark on him and Gomez had was all marked up and I recall his head being bounced about time and time again and I had McDonagh winning so I dont know what you was watching. I dont know about 'big ears' I think you need some big glasses

McDonagh seems to think he's a superstar following the win over Gomez and can name his price. That's why he's been inactive lately he keeps outpricing himself out of every job he's been offered. I don't hold out much hope of a rematch with Gomez coming off.

I think Des here might be a slight bit biased , and I get the feeling he wouldn't have made the claim that McDonagh was winning had the fight been on tv in the UK and more people here seen what actually happened .

No not at all biased, I thought he was winning and so did many neutral people, I heard he was ahead one score cards, or at least one anyway, but basically thats not the issue is it, you all keep banging on as if Gomez was right bashing him up and then suddenly quit, no that didnt happen, at worst you might say 'McDonagh was still in the fight' and anyway if Gomez's excuse for losing is he 'got to bored'

why didnt he just finish McDonagh off & get the win? Gomez said he was bored of hitting McDonagh

but surely he knows most ref's are quick to jump in and stop fights to soon nowadays so why wasnt he able to put a few punches together, have the fight won then the one who was suposed to win wins then there wouldnt be this big debate! How many fighters have excuses when they lose? Unfortunately record book's dont say 'lost...but' do they, fact is McDonagh won the fight and he'll win again should they ever box again I believe

he didn't stop him simply because McDonagh has a very good chin and was throwing punches back , doesn't mean he wasn't taking a beating(imo)

toby wasn't McDonagh meant to have been fighting Romanov as a tune up for Romaov's European title fight ? , but then one of them pulled out with injury and that was the last talk of McDonagh fighting till this rematch with Gomez which has seemed to come about . Lets hope Uri Geller is available again
