Hollow Man

Well I'm sorry you've been offended. If I'm truthful I think I am culpurable of winding up the Scot's. In my case it's nothing more than good natured banter, and I'm disappointed if some feel its more sinister than that. Obviously though as I'm not Scottish I dont know what it feels like when it seems everyone is rubbishing your country/boxers/heritage etc. Apologies again.

I wasnt around when boxing.com was in its heyday. I'm sure this place will go from strength to strength.

Hello Hollow Man. Welcome to http://www.boxrec.com.

There is a distinct shortage of Scottish posters on this site. Only you, the Real McCoy and me, as far as I know.

In the run up to Scott Harrison's make or break fight with Manuel Medina it is important to show some solidarity in the face of the critics who declared that last time out he was "exposed". :) The fact is, he lost, and I do believe illness played the major part in that defeat.

Medina to go by TKO by 10.

To be fair GAV does make the odd post here, but I can't think of anyone else.

That's honesty for ya, well done KA.

Don't really bet on boxing much, last time was I think on Lewis-Holyfield 1 when I put quite a few quid (for me) on Lewis to win in rounds 2 and 3. Really thought Lenny was going to blast him out.

I think £10 pound on Pendelton is acutally worse than my two biggest howlers.

£10 on Viet to beat Calzaghe.

£5 on Hardy to beat Hamed

Haha! The joke is, Naz barely trained for that fight, and he said he would bang him out in one round.

No need for you to apologize Lightsoot. I can take a wind-up like any man but when I read a certain post it saddened me to be honest. What saddened me more was that it was allowed to stay on the boxing forum as it had nothing to do with boxing, just calling us all "Jock *******" and demanding that we should leave the forum
Now he who runs the board has a reputation for pulling posts that isnt boxing related but he let this stay?!?
Anyway I shall refrain from discussing this any longer as I am sure the posters here do not wish to be bored to death with my ranting & raving!

Once again thanks for the welcome! I am in the process of trying to entice one of my friends onto the board, & then there will be 4 of us Scots to take on the world!

I have also had a few nightmare bets Stu..... or rather non bets....

I was in Jo'berg for Rahman vs Lewis.

I saw Hasim spare about a week before the fight, and I thought he looked a million dollars.

He spared 10 rounds and hardly broke sweat. A few days later I saw LL on one of his training runs. After a few miles he looked f****d!

So I thought I would lump on Rahman. A mate of mine told me the price was 20-1 for Rahman, but by time I got around to placing a bet (4 hours before the fight) he was only available at 6-1.

"Sod it" I thought, "I'm not taking that price"....... and the rest is history!
