I think this is a winnable fight for Wayne. Never really saw what the fuss was about AA. AA is strong so Wayne will have to be at his fittest. Movement and a good workrate could see Wayne through. AA is either punching or tucked up blocking.

i wish elcock well but i think its a mismatch, sorry guys, i know we should all get behind the britain and we will, but elcock does not beat AA in any department at all.

i can only see elcock getting KO'd, sorry. :(

This piece has had to be taken down for the time because, as petty as it might sound, Abraham’s promoters don’t want anything up until the press conference on October 29.

I just got a call from Wayne, who said he couldn’t believe how petty they were being.

True AA Is no Floyd, but Hatton's a world class fighter and Elcock's considered British level and Hatton and Floyd wouldn't be considered as big a mismatch then AA and Elcock.

I'm presuming as well that this will be on Sky. At the very least will be good to see AA in action and it'll be great to see a live German show.

Never seen Elcock but I think I have some of his fights on disc. Good stuff, another Brit in a world title fight. Something to look forward to, but I think we should have more Johanesson-Gomez style fights!

Yeah it appears a lot of our fighters don't take the chances they get offered, so Lockett turning it down is no surprise.

Well, that is not good

but if wayne wins then he could be looking at a huge payday with pavlik or he would sell out anywhere in birmingham. Wayne isn't a young guy just setting out, he's over 30 so has to give it a shot when he gets the chance.

Can totally understand taking this fight, even though he will be a massive underdog, you've got to take those chances when they come along, especially at his age. If he wins, then he can get a really nice payday off the back of it, and if he loses, but acquits himself well, he could get another opportunity.

It's amazing how a fighter can sometimes seem to rise several levels of ability on the night, look at Gavin Rees, nobody gave him a prayer.

Whilst Elcock doesn't have Eastman's ability (a prime Eastman I mean), he probably will make a better go of it than Eastman did, in that he will give it everything, win or lose.

at least Abraham's fighting a proper middleweight who's going to go for it.

from what we know elcock's not the same class, especially with abraham improving, but the fight raises the likelihood of getting sky coverage. sky are a bit on-off with qulity boxing from germany

This is great news. A British Champion getting a title shot - raises the stock and worth of the British belts, hopefully we'll see more people going down the traditional route!!!

The British title is league's apart from world level and Eastman is well past it. It's a terrible voluntary defense.
