Yup, the sucker punch was just simply bad! and then he kills Sam, I knew he killed him, but I didn't know there were staying together, nor that he killed him with a hammer.

He had appealed to the public displaying Frazier as kinda traitor of his race, what had actually lead to public response. When Frazier's son was beaten up in school just for being his son or when there were threats to blow up Joe's house (the house even was protected by the police for some time), it's pretty stupid to justify Ali's words as just pre-fight hype.

According to Wikipedia Butler term is until 2035. Hopefully he serves it in full.

Yet I've never said, that Ali's actions were equal to kill or rape, or smth of that kind. I've just said, that they weren't good, they crossed the line of common verbal pre-fight battle in case of Frazier.

Ali can't be responsible for Frazier's kid being picked on in school. Kids are picked on in school for all or any reason. I think calling Frazier ugly or stupid was normal banter. Ali admitted to picking that stuff up from wrestling.

But yes, I think Ali crossed the line with the race stuff. Ironically, Ali had lighter skin and loads of white friends, not to mention mostly white trainers.

So yes Ali was full of crap, but hardly a bad person.

Looks luke he done afew stints for robbery and got in2 boxing in prison. Got out, back in for robbery and a hung jury on a murder charge. Continued his carrer inside and subsequently retried for the murder and found guilty.
