There’s a lot of people defending Felix. Obvious one is innocent until proven guilty.

Another mentioned someone called Ray Currath.. whoever that is.
I liked Felix as a boxer. Was following him from 2016 when he was due a WBO shot. Terry Flanagan was champion at the time. Could have beaten him. But kept getting into accidents. Motorcycle related.

I got a lot of mixed feelings. First of all, she should not have been involved with a married man. At least she should have left him when he got married to the other lady. Much as we men enjoy married women too, we are a-holes when we get involved with one just the same...we are....that is called breaking a marriage, which can lead to other types of consequences like murder and suicide.
That of course, does NOT MEAN she should have been murdered. I feel sorry for her and for her unborn baby. She should not have died this way. According to what I read she had even offered to raise the child by herself and not say anything about it to the press.....so why was she killed? I don't understand...(unless it was his wife who did the killing and not him but it all does point to him being the killer)
With the deaths of former Menudo member Ray Reyes (a celebrity I met in person back in 1998, a very decent man) on April 31st, and former governor Carlos Romero Barcelo tonight and this murder, it has been a very tragic few days in Puerto Rico...

I can't support the death penalty because it isn't fairly enforced and too many innocent people get executed. Which means the government is murdering innocent people with my tax dollars while guilty people get released after a few years because they can afford a good lawyer. If this guy doesn't get the death penalty I don't see the purpose in having it as an option.
I suppose if it wasn't premeditated, he was drunk and suddenly lost it, boxing damaged his brain, Puerto Rican macho culture, etc. etc. a clever lawyer could get him off with 15-25 years. Which is why see the above about why I can't support the death penalty. When the most likely reason he killed her was because he was worried about getting 'scammed' into future alimony payments.

Yes, although this looks like an open and shut case, and there appears to be a cast iron witness, his defence will be interesting. Of course just like most trials it will be a game and one side will eventually win.
Whether justice is served also remains to be seen, and whether Verdejo gets more time than Avtandil Khurtsidze should also be interesting.
Apparently a good time for lenient sentencing is immediately after lunch.
