If you score a fight on who was busier - he was in front.

It depends how you score fights, for me personally Yarde was in front, he was busier but he was losing steam the further the fight went.

You score a fight on who's landing the most effective punches, effective aggression, effective defence and ring generalship. I don't think "busy" is one of the criteria used.

Bert's been down before, he's been close before (Gvodzyk) but he's never looked hurt and beaten up before. That fight took something out of Bert @ 38.

it was never derailed, he never went down or even had his legs go. any time yarde landed a good shot bert responded with more of his own. bert was said to be flagging here in a same round he teed off on yarde against the ropes for the last 30 seconds, then ktfo him the next round. how da f@ck that equates to flagging is beyond me

Bert's legs WERE unsteady around the 5th (ish?) and who hurt Bert more than Yarde did ?
Yarde was ahead on all 3 cards and hurt Bert more than anyone else. Yarde wasn't "outclassed" he was beaten by that extra level of class and experience.

Well played if you (and Keith? and/or MDP?) and whoever saw Bert cruising to inevitable victory - that was obviously the correct reading of the fight - but you can surely see why others missed that ?

Apart from the cut, which was caused by a headbutt, Artur was never in trouble. Not once.

I had Biev in front. His quality of work was crisper and cleaner. Yarde did himself proud though and a bit more of a better grounding through his earlier career would have stood him in good stead for these type of fights.

Poor reffing by the way, Yarde didn't follow ref instruction. Steve Grey had a mare in the Ritson fight too where he chucked the towell back out the ring after it went in from Ritsons corner. Our refs are fkn weird.

Obviously for me, he did throw effective punches etc - yeah, seriously, a fighter can win a round on being 'busier' it will be interesting to see who landed more punches when the stats come out.
