No change.
Wait for something official or 12month inactivity.

Yeah I can't really argue with that. The tainted meat argument seems like a winner really for Canelo. But the episode has probably hurt his legacy.tiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 10:51I agree to a point. Did the failed testing affect Canelo, Tyson Fury or did rumors of peds hurt Mayweather or Pacquiao?Finkel wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 09:41
Well the trouble with doing that is the damage to the reputation of the boxer, loss of earning through sponsorships disappearing is a likely outcome.
Imagine there was a public investigation into Joshua, and it turned out he was innocent.
Will the sponsors want to be attached to his name when many people would assume he is guilty?
Would his reputation ever be fully restored even if he was shown to be innocent?
His loss to Wilder is worth more than all the wins you mention combinedjoshj909 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 18:27Since Ortiz last tested positive (29/09/17), he's 4-1 with wins over Hammer, Kauffman, Martz and Cojanu yet, in January (prior to the Hammer fight) you voted him 5th...dagilechia wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 17:11
for me it's like - you get caught, your rating gets re-started, you start from zero. Povetkin, Fury, Ortiz etc all had fights after their doping affairs.
If Whyte gets removed, he may well be voted in after his next fight, but i doubt that people would vote him as high as he was before.
I personally think that he defeated Wilder and that is Why i rank him at #1Finkel wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 19:21Not to mention Fury was suspended during his wilderness years. So, I'm not sure getting a draw with Wilder and beating 3 no hopers really justifies being ranked #1...
Anyway, to be blunt, Presumption of Innocence is not something I'm going to mess with. So, for me he stays until there is an official announcement from a legitimate governing body.
I think so too, but...dagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 00:39I personally think that he defeated Wilder and that is Why i rank him at #1Finkel wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 19:21

who beat who is a one, very important factor.. next, at least for me, is who i think would beat who, and i can't imagine Ruiz defeating Fury, basing only on ''who beat who'' would be difficult because the top 15 fighters barely fight each other... rankings are always subjective, there are no perfect rankings.. If Ruiz beats Joshua again and proves his worth, i will reconsider voting him to #1 or #2Finkel wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 04:45I think so too, but...dagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 00:39

Surely actually beating Joshua is a better achievement, than not actually doing so against Wilder. Given most people ranked Joshua higher than Wilder, shouldn't Ruiz be number #1 by your standard?
That's fair enough, and that's how I would personally go about ranking fighters, but just to be clear that doesn't really align with what you wrote above when you were justfying the removal of Whyte when you said:dagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 04:51who beat who is a one, very important factor.. next, at least for me, is who i think would beat who, and i can't imagine Ruiz defeating Fury, basing only on ''who beat who'' would be difficult because the top 15 fighters barely fight each other... rankings are always subjective, there are no perfect rankings.. Why not? Fury defeated Wilder, Ruiz defeated Joshua, two similar level of wins in my eyes, the eye test suggest me that Fury that fought Wilder would defeat Ruiz that fought Joshua. Both Fury and Ruiz were close to lose by KO, Ruiz's win was more impressive cuz it was by KO, but styles make fights, for example, i think that Wilder is the most dangerous opponent for Fury, but i also think that he is beatable by some fighters that would be no match for Fury, sometimes it's like A beats B, B beats C, C beats A, it's hard to rank them if they barely fight each other.Finkel wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 04:56That's fair enough, and that's how I would personally go about ranking fighters, but just to be clear that doesn't really align with what you wrote above when you were justfying the removal of Whyte when you said:dagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 04:51

Fury defeated Wilder? You could look at it as both were robbed of victories. Fury of a narrow points win and Wilder of a KO. A rematch is warranted. Ruiz was close to losing by KO? No. He was knocked down.dagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 05:21Why not? For the record, i had Fury outside the top 15 in my personal ranking after his fight vs Seferi.
Wilder didn't knocked Fury out. TF was ready clearly ready to fight before the 10 count.Bandog wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 06:35Fury defeated Wilder? You could look at it as both were robbed of victories. Not only that- Fury finished the 12th really strong, which made it all the more impressivedagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 11:44Wilder didn't knocked Fury out. TF was ready clearly ready to fight before the 10 count.
..miracle no less ...wonder what the long-term effects of this blow and subsequent continuation might be for a mentally unstable undividual with a suicidal past..KiwiRider wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 16:42Not only that- Fury finished the 12th really strong, which made it all the more impressivedagilechia wrote: ↑22 Aug 2019, 11:44
